It’s been three days of reckless torture, and yet, I’d learned nothing.

The best and worst characteristic of the Shahato pack was their unwavering loyalty to their people. It was the reason why Wathoni had betrayed me without blinking an eye and it was the same reason these prisoners weren’t breathing a word of information about their pack’s possible locations.

I nodded at Xander—the most ruthless torturer under my employment, and immediately he got the signal he turned on the switch behind him. Next, gnashing of teeth and mangled screams followed as the men before us felt the brunt of the electric chairs they were bound to.

When I’d had enough of the hellish noises, I snapped my fingers and Xander turned off the switch. Heavy breathing and trembling noises echoed through the torture room as the men regained themselves or at least a semblance of control.
