Hours passed and April finally opened her eyes. She had fallen asleep while trying to calm herself down not to worry about what was going to happen to her at Grey city. She looked at Damon when she noticed he had stopped piloting the chopper. Were they already at Grey city?

"You're finally awake." He said when he noticed that she had woken up from her sleep.

"You should have woken me up." April unfastened her seat belt and got down from the chopper. It was still midnight but there were street lamps everywhere that April wondered if they had really gotten to their destination. She had imagined Grey city to look somewhat dark, creepy and unpleasant for human habitation since it was where the vampires reside but where she was standing looked like a large parking area. As she turned to question Damon if they had really gotten to Grey city, she sighted a middle aged man approaching them and when he got closer to where they were standing, he bowed at Damon who had already gotten

April opened her eyes only to find herself in what looked like an underground prison, which looked almost the same as the dungeon she was once chained in by the demon. Why was she here? Not long ago, she was in the room trying her best to fall asleep and now she was suddenly in here. She noticed she was not chained like last time, did the demon bring her here? Or, could this be another strange dream? Was she in her dream? Was this still part of the strange dreams she had been having? But the other dreams she had were about her childhood, this dream felt eerie, even merely looking at the place gave her the creeps. So many questions flooded her mind as she looked around the dungeon. Could there be a reason why she was brought here? She kept questioning herself yet she could not even find an answer. "Is anyone here?" She called for help but her voice only echoed back to her which meant this place was empty and probably abandoned for long. As she walked through the passageway of th

  • ENCOUNTER   AWKWARD ATMOSPHERE

It was morning already, Pam and Sam came out from their different rooms. They had arrived Grey city last night but to their surprise, Uncle Damon and April weren't even at the palace and the vampire princes seemed to have known where he was but they refused to say anything to them. They both sighed as they walked to the dining room, the King had invited them to have breakfast with him. As they entered the dining room, they saw the two vampire princes, the princess and the King at the dining table. They bowed at them and soon joined them. The palace maids began serving different delicacies on the table that Sam was already beginning to feel hungry just looking at the food in front of him. He was sure this meals were prepared for both him and his Sis as they couldn't drink blood like the other vampires. "It's really amazing how kids grow so fast, the last time the both of you were in Grey city, you were this little." The King began to speak as soon as he saw the twins describ

  • ENCOUNTER   KEEP PROTECTING ME

April did not know why her heart skipped a beat when she turned and saw Damon. Although, she had expected it to be him since she recognised his voice from the vision and she knew that the person who had just touched her was no other person but the demon. However, she was still tensed up upon seeing him. Maybe it was because he looked different or maybe it was because he was staring at her with that dark expression filled with nothing but pure hatred. Either ways, the demon's physical appearance looked odd. Since the day he had abducted her, she had never seen him look this haggard before. His hair which were usually neatly combed was messy, his handsome face looked pale like that of a ghost and his shirt which used to be neatly ironed was rumpled and not even properly buttoned. Just what on earth happened to him that made him look this way. He looked so tired and his eye were red as if he had not slept for days when it was only yesterday they last saw each other. "What are you doing h

  • ENCOUNTER   WONDERFUL PLAN

"Then, keep protecting me. Keep protecting me until you get whatever you want from me." April had no idea how those words escaped her mouth. Maybe a part of her had always wanted to tell him those words, for him to keep protecting her. Isn't it crazy that she was making this request to the demon, the number one person after her life? After she had said those words to him, none of them said a word to each other. They just stood there staring at each other as though they were having a silent conversation. April stared on trying to read the demon's expression and Damon on the otherhand did not even know how to react after April had told him to keep protecting her. As they both kept staring at each other, they heard the door of the library slightly pushed open and they both whipped their head to see who had just entered. Lincoln was on his way to check on Damon when he noticed that the door to the library was slightly opened. How was that possible? He had locked this room earli

  • ENCOUNTER   LIKE A WARNING OR A THREAT.

"How do you see my wonderful plan?" He said, flashing that devilish smile to his father. Silence reigned and none of them said a word. The King was too speechless to reply the oh-so-wonderful plan Caesar had just said to him. How could he suggest for his father to die so he could rule Grey city? He could have just outrightly tell him to give up whatever plans he was cooking against Damon rather than make such expensive joke. He should have known that his sons had already sworn their loyalty to that demon and that made him wonder just what on Grey city had Damon done for them to be this protective and defensive towards him. The King finally let out a sigh as his lips twitched. "You don't have to make such expensive joke, I can clearly get your point." He said to the prince which caused Caesar to raise a brow wondering if what he had spoken sounded like a joke to the King. "And, you don't have to speak of your brother in such manner." He added. "What manner did i speak of

  • ENCOUNTER   SERIES OF WHAT IFS

The day had gotten a bit darker and April knew it was time to begin what they came here for and that was to make her remember the hidden memories of her past. Although, a part of her strongly believed that she was not Margaux but she could not help but feel nervous and scared. She thought she had prepared herself for this, however, she didn't seem ready to face it. Maybe it was due to her anxiousness, series of 'what ifs' began to cloud her mind. 'What if i end up seeing something like the way i had seen the demon's past? What if i end up recovering a little memory of the evil witch? What if the evil witch turned out to be me? What if i really was an evil witch?' Those questions clouded her mind and it made her uneased that she began sweating profusely. Her heart almost jumped out of her chest when she heard a knock on the door. She had not even calmed herself down and he was here already. Would she really be able to prove to him that she wasn't Margaux? She was so scared and afrai

  • ENCOUNTER   HOME

April having gathered that tiny courage in her quietly followed the demon. Now that she had casted those series of what ifs aside, she no longer felt that anxiety she had once felt some seconds ago, instead she was busy admiring the beautiful night view of Grey city. The sky was so beautiful filled with many twinkling stars and the cool breeze helped a lot in calming her soul. The street lamps were on as the day had gotten somewhat darker but to her utmost surprise, she only saw few people on the road who seemed to be heading back home. The streets they had passed through looked kind of empty as if there was no one living there. That was weird, this was the vampire home and it was dusk which was morning to them, she had prepared herself to meet those vampires on the way but she met none. Even the few people she had seen looked like humans and they didn't seem to carry that intimidating aura that the demon and those vampire princes carry. Could they be hiding? Or, was this probably no

Now she understood why the demon had brought her here, he had brought her to where Margaux lived three hundred years ago so she could regain those said hidden memories of the past. She let out another sigh realising that she was probably scared for nothing, she was so sure she was not Margaux so there was no reason for her to feel this way, there was no reason for her to feel scared or guilty when she had not done anything wrong but her hands would not stop trembling no matter how hard she had tried to calm herself, she cussed inaudibly as she clenched her

  • ENCOUNTER   I'M SORRY

Upon seeing April's bewildered expression, Margaux bursted into a convulsive, loud laughter. "What's with that look on your face?" She asked, her voice carrying a hint of mockery. "I thought by now, you should have known that i am you, and you are me." She added with a crook and insolent smile. April shook her head as she refused to believe the words Margaux had just said to her. "No. That can't be true." There was no way she was Margaux, there was... She strongly shook her head, no, she won't let those words get to her head. "I can never be you!" She said as she pushed Margaux away from her. With that, April woke up with a loud gasp as she almost choked out a breath. What sort of dream was that? She sat up and sighed as she moved the strand of her hair to the back of her ear thinking about the words Margaux said to her. "I am you, and you are me." She repeated those words as she sighed again. "This is so frustrating, why am i Margaux?" She shook her head as she stil

She could see both adults and children hiding at the corner with their weapons, ready to attack anything that comes their way or maybe anyone. April knew what happened here, these people were going to get killed by her, the evil witch. What she saw at that black pot was repeating itself again in her dream, why? "The evil witch is here, run away!" They heard the shout of a man who was soon killed by Margaux. The little ones quivered at the sight of the evil witch while the adults drew out their weapons, ready to protect their loved ones from the infamous witch. • ENCOUNTER   SELFISH DESIRES

[ At Grey Forest ] Dana stood beside the window side of her chamber blankly staring at the moon shimmering bright and giving beauty to the night. She could not even fall asleep knowing that the day to choose her spouse was coming, the full moon which was two days from now. She had tried to delay it but the elders kept insisting and it worried her people that she had no spouse at her age as it was their belief that a Queen ought to have a spouse whom she can rely on. If she tried to delay it again, her people might get wary of her and that was the last thing Dana ever wanted to happen. She had to prove to them that she was capable of ruling them and as a leader, she had to obey the customs and traditions. Dana sighed as there was nothing she could do to avoid the marriage. In two days time, a competition will be held among the young witches in Grey forest and the winner will be chosen as her spouse. • ENCOUNTER   NOT EVEN A LITTLE BIT

The thought that she might really be the one who hurt Damon and killed those people frightened her, they frightened her to her bones that she could never bring herself to accept his claim that she was the evil Margaux. Deep down, she wished she could just prove to him that she was different from the Margaux he knew in the past, she was different from the lady who caused him pain, she was different from the witch who committed many evil deeds. She also wished he would see her differently, not as the evil witch's reincarnation but as herself, as April Greene but would that ever happen? "What are you staring at?" Damon spoke in his usual unfriendly manner as he let go of her hand. "Let's go." He turned and left. April took a glance at the room one last time before she followed the demon and as she got to the living room, she heard him speak. "Don't look at the walls." "Why?" She inquired as she tried her best not to look at the walls like he said. "You could e

  • ENCOUNTER   GIVE ME YOUR HAND

The twinkling stars and the dazzling full moon gave beauty to the dark sky. The cold wind blew like it was quarrelling with earth and the snow fell like rainfall but the moment the snow reached the ground, it turned scarlet as the land had turned into a pool of blood overlaid with dead bodies. On that beautiful night was heard clashing of swords and cries of anguish as more lifeless bodies fall to the ground, killed with no mercy. It was as though death had visited the normally peaceful town, and the oh-so beautiful night had become an unpleasantly horrific sight. At the center of these lifeless bodies, stood a young lady wearing a black cloak. The tip of her long black cloak was soaked with blood as she aggressively pulled out her sword from the last person she had just killed. It was evident that those dead bodies were single-handedly killed by her. The cold wind blew away her hoodie revealing her red curly hair. She slowly turned her head and with the look in her eyes, it was

  • ENCOUNTER   EERIE-LOOKING

The reason. . . . The reason why Margaux committed those evil deeds was to take revenge on those who killed her father, however, April could not understand why she had to destroy this town. According to Damon, this town was the only town who accepted her when she was rejected by her own people so why then did she destroy the town? Was that how much she had resented Damon? "Scared?" Damon questioned upon seeing that she had not moved an inch from where she was standing and how she looked lost in thoughts. Distracted from her thoughts, April slightly shook her head. "No." She answered as she looked at her hands which were still slightly trembling. Damon walked towards the entrance of the hut, he turned and looked at April, gesturing for her to come. She obediently came closer to where he was but the moment the demon opened the door and stepped into the hut, April involuntarily retracted. She did not even know how it happened but her body subconsciously stepped back and h
