Chapter five: Embark on mission

It was a brand new day. The climate seemed dull. It wasn't gloomy nor was it sunny, just completely overcast.

Kathie woke up remembering that she had an appointment today she needed to attend to and hurried towards the bedroom to prepare. 

She slept so well last night. Maybe it was because of the soft mattress she slept on last night.

She has been discharged from the hospital and was brought back by her so-called parents who kept on showing their artificial self and care. She already knew the type of person they were. They were the likes of Karen and Jackson.

Today marks the first day she starts her revenge. She planned on going for an audition in Henrich to see if she might be selected. 

After taking her bath and dressing up that morning, she went to a mirror and stood in front of it, looking at the blue-eyed and blonde-haired girl in the mirror.

" Won't they recognize me?" Kathie asked herself while looking at herself in the mirror. " No, have you forgotten? You now have a different face and body"

Kathie put on a satisfied smile and blew a kiss at the new face in the mirror.

"Mmmm, I can't deny it, You look beautiful dear Ashley, but am deeply sorry that you lost your life at a very young age without completing your task on earth" 

Kathie continued while holding her heart in consolation and faking a sad expression.

" But now that I have got your face, I have to use it and complete my task and I know that your face can do just the job" 

She said with an elated smile and moved away from the mirror to go and grab her blue purse. She was wearing a blue dress to compliment the purse and give her a glamorous combo.

As walked out of her room after she was done preparing, she came out to the sitting room. The sitting room was one of a kind for an average home.

From what she noticed, this family wasn't rich, so how were they able to have such a flourished parlor?

There were four expensive cushions arranged comfortably and spacious and a TV set that was taller than her height.

It was her eyes that were still focused on the TV when she caught a glimpse of two teenagers sitting comfortably on the sofa and putting their focus on the channel going on the television.

" Good morning" Kathie greeted them both to gain their attention.

 ' Don't these people have daily activities to run? So why would they be watching TV by this time of the day?' Kathie thought while looking at the younglings watching TV with no concern whatsoever.

Hearing the sudden voice, the girl among the two teenagers turned her head slowly to look at Kathie as if she was just an ordinary thing.

" Where do you think you are going to dress like this?" the girl questioned rudely after glaring at Kathie from head to toe.

" Excuse me, do I know you?" Kathie was shocked by the way the little girl spoke to her. This particular girl, while looking at her young face, could easily tell her age. She was not less than eighteen years old.

The girl scoffed and stood up from the sofa and walked casually towards her while counting steps while the boy on the sofa put a pause on the TV.

 The girl walked towards her face disrespectfully and looked deeply into her eyes while Kathie stood there with a shocked expression on her face.

'This girl has balls' Kathie thought. 

" I heard you lost your memory? " the girl asked with a bossy attitude which made Kathie's head spark fire. Like how brave can this girl be?

" You won't answer? " the girl asked again after noticing that Kathie wasn't inclined to answer her question.

Although Kathie seemed to be ignoring her, in a true sense, Kathie was not ignoring her; rather she was still in a daze at how brave the little girl appeared to be. Has she forgotten that something like SLAP does exist? 

Kathie clenched her hands as the little girl continued to act bossy in front of her. If not anything, at least she still uses a lot of gaps to pass her age.

And the alarming part was that she didn't even know who the girl was.

The girl after staring at Kathie, walked out of her face with a hiss, " Mtcheew, Since you don't want to talk, don't worry, I will help you remember everything"

She went back to the sofa and sat majestically with her legs crossed.

" You are an illegitimate daughter of my father so you have no value here and the house chores haven't been done, so where do you think you are going this early morning?" the girl raised her brows to ask.

Kathie tilted her head to the side with a frown on her face at hearing such an abomination from the girl she could think of as a younger sister.

Well, she couldn't do anything about it. She doesn't know the type of life Ashley lived before she died, but if she didn't know anything, with her common sense and the character these people have exhibited so far, she was aware that these people were involved in the death of Ashley.

Maybe they were shocked at seeing her alive, that was why the mother kept apologizing to her at the hospital not knowing she was someone else.

Although she couldn't comprehend what the girl was saying, maybe It was a good time and a perfect opportunity to understand Ashley's life and know how to function with these evil people.

At least, now Ashley's body has occupied her soul and given her a second chance to live if not anything to avenge Ashley's death since she was no longer alive to avenge her death.

These people are cruel and she could notice them demonstrating it bright and clear.

They thought that she was the dumb Ashley, they once knew but they didn't know that she was now a new person and her name was Kathie Martinez. They weren't aware that she had lived a life that was more horrific than their entire nightmares put together.

" What is going on here!?"

A sore voice was heard behind.
