56 - Meet The Parents

“Am I crazy?” I asked quietly, hoping for reassurance. I felt torn between three people, three kinds of love, and it felt selfish and wrong—yet painfully real.

Baste stayed quiet for a moment; marahan niyang sinusuklay ang buhok ko, as if trying to calm the storm inside me, pero nagawa niya nga. Kahit paano, kumalma ako. He finally spoke; his voice was soft, almost a whisper.

“No, Haven, you’re not crazy,” he whispered, though his voice carried a hint of struggle. “Love doesn’t always make sense. Sometimes it's messy and complicated, and it doesn’t follow the rules we want.”

How was it possible to feel so much for so many people at once? To be pulled in so many different directions, not knowing which path was the right one to take?

“But how can I love all of you at the same time?” Pabulong na tanong ko kay Baste. “How can I be in love with Daniel, you, and Hari without breaking so
