Heather's beautiful eyes sparkled with a charming glint as her lips curved into a sly, triumphant smile.

She delighted in her little tricks, and Tyrone always fell for them. His earlier concern now seemed almost comical.

Tyrone stared at her for a moment, his expression growing stoic. Abruptly releasing her ankle, he rose to his feet and started to walk away.

Heather's eyes widened in surprise as she watched him leave. In a rush of panic, she lunged forward and clutched his leg. "Tyrone, don't go!"

Furrowing his brows, he glanced down at Heather clinging to him. "Let go."

Sitting on the floor, Heather looked up with tear-filled eyes, her gaze pleading. "Promise me you won't leave, and I'll let go."

She was clueless about Tyrone's fury, but she feared that if she released her hold, he would walk away without hesitation. She was too weak to chase after him; otherwise, she wouldn't have had to feign a broken ankle just to get him to come over.
