Chapter 59

Under the dim lights, Tyrone's gaze was cold and depthless, not to mention piercing.

He lounged on the couch with one leg stretched out atop the other while he swirled his wine. The burnished gold ring he wore on his index finger dazzled under the lights.

He was usually distant, but tonight he was nonchalant.

Tyrone didn't have to say anything. All he had to do was look at Heather, and she could already feel the air around her go still.

She swallowed as the tension between them rose and lowered her gaze before muttering, "I don't walk all over Mr. Elkin."

With that said, she couldn't very well insist on leaving.
