Chapter 153

Heather was still running a fever. She felt sore and uncomfortable all over her body. She fell into a daze and was awoken by the buzzing of her phone.

She groggily picked it up. "Hello, may I ask who's calling?"

"Ms. Sutton, Mr. Snyder has woken up."

Heather instantly jolted awake. "When did he wake up? How is he doing now?"

"He woke up ten minutes ago. The doctor is currently examining him."

"I'll be right there!"

Heather rushed to the hospital. The doctor had finished examining Thomas and transferred him to a regular ward.

Thomas lay weakly in bed, unable to eat, with Macey sitting beside him. She was using a wet cotton swab to moisten his lips. Whitney was also there.

Upon hearing footsteps approaching, the three of them turned to the door.

Thomas' face was still swollen. He was only able to see through his partially open eyes. When he saw Heather, his mouth moved as if wanting to say something, but he couldn't manage a word.
