Allen sees it clearly.

The raw intensity with which Alexander speaks.

To anyone hearing him, they'd think that he is some maniac crying over losing someone to another person just because they were scared to put their feelings into words.

But to Alexander, who has been prey to the same situation, all he sees is a boy who believed in another boy with all his mind, body and soul only for everything around him to shatter when the only person he saw as his tether to every feeling, slipped out of his grasp just because of his own anxiety and nervousness to share a feeling that the other person might or might not have returned.

"I've shouted, I've screamed, and I've felt like my world crashing. I've seen my own heart shatter in front of my eyes. People always say that it gets worse before it gets better." Alexander chuckles bitterly and looks Allen in the eyes with a certain betraying fierceness.

"Then why is it that everything is getting even worse for me instead of getting better?"
