Don't break the contract

Diane and Harry.

Diane's moans flood her room, she has been cooped up for two hours with her boyfriend, Joshua Reynolds. While her father works overtime to pay the mortgage on their house, she takes advantage of the solitude of her home to be intimate with her boyfriend.

“Oh! oh, like that my love, keep it up, you are everything a woman would like to have oh! oh! please don't stop!”

Joshua grabs her by the hair as he kisses her neck, their breaths are ragged, he has her back, and Diane is screaming with pleasure, she thought that to be happy the only important thing she needed in life, was the passion her boyfriend gave her.

They are both on the verge of orgasm... when the bedroom door suddenly opens.

“But what happen here Diane? Oh my God! Wear your clothes, please,  When are you going to understand that this house is not a motel?, and you son of a bitch, get your ass out of here, Joshua, I don't even want to see you”,  Henry Saenz, Diane's father, had come home early from work, and it wasn't the first time he found his daughter in a  terrible scene with her boyfriend.

Diane is immediately furious, her cheeks flushed, and with all lividness exposed, she pulls on a T-shirt to cover her nakedness.

“When will be the damn day that you understand that you must knock first before entering my room? Dad, this is my house too, I can't stand that you keep doing the same thing, I want you to leave me alone with Joshua” she said this, while her boyfriend mocked the situation.

Diane and Joshua had been in a relationship for three years, in which they had only been drinking and going to parties, she had been raised only by her father, because her mother died when she was only three years old, leaving a void that her father, not even making the greatest of efforts could fill, as she was growing up she was growing up more alone, making the worst decisions and finding refuge in people like Joshua, a gang member in her neighborhood, who made her believe that he was good to her, because he defended her from other men like him, , but in reality, he was consuming her in an abyss of parties and alcohol, from where it would be very difficult to get out.

“ Now go away my love, we'll see you tomorrow, now comes my daddy's and tell me bad things, and I don't want you to listen to it.” Diane gives Joshua a passionate kiss, he goes out the window, as if he were a delinquent, both acted like a couple of teenagers, knowing that they were already young adults, making Diane's father filled with anger, as he did not know how to control her.

She goes down to the living room where her father is sitting in front of the TV, he was depressed, all his life he had been depressed and she did not consider him one bit and much less had a single sign of affection for him, besides she was disobedient and disinterested.

“Look dad, don't ever come into my room like that again, I forbid you, this is my house too, and you have no right to invade my privacy with my boyfriend” she stands in front of him, and more rebelliously than ever lights a cigarette, just to finish annoying her father.

“Oh yeah! your house? you're 24 years old, you're a grown woman, what's stopping you from working or doing something for yourself? I'm tired of having to support you while you just idle around with that bad guy you've got for yourself.” Henry speaks to her with pain, he felt guilty for the upbringing his daughter had had, and everything was out of control, she never obeyed him, and she never did anything, she was rude and inconsiderate.

“You're throwing in my face the little food you give me? because in this house we never eat a decent dish, every day we have to eat the same thing.” she looks at him taking a puff on her cigarette.

“If you want to eat better, you must work like everyone else does, but here's another piece of news! You're probably not going to like it” Henry gets up from his chair and goes straight to the kitchen, pours himself a cup of coffee and she comes out behind him.

“What's the news? You got fired? You're lazy, Dad!” she tosses the cigarette and steps on it, then puts her hands on her waist judging her father, she had no idea what he was suffering.

He suddenly looks at her and with all the pain that his daughter's words cause him, he slaps her, making her face turn immediately, she puts her hand on her cheek, and looks at him with hatred, he had never hit her, he had always let her do what she wanted, but that day, he was too affected and he was not going to allow one more act of rebellion.

“I hate you dad! How dare you hit me like that? I hate you!” Diane ran screaming through the house, until she reached her room, she began to pack some suitcases in an improvised way, she was sure that what she wanted at that moment was to leave her father's bosom, she could no longer stand the poverty and the few things her father gave her, and much less could she stand that he had hit her.

While on the other side of the city, where the houses have beautiful front gardens and large pools in the back, is the mansion of the Adams, a wealthy family and recognized for its import business in the place, but unfortunately of them, only one member remained, Harry Adams, the most sought after bachelor in the city, but the most depressed man in the world, 4 years ago he had lost his family in a traffic accident, he could never get over seeing them die, because he was the one who was driving, and in a micro sleep due to fatigue, he lost control of the car ending in an abyss, being him, the only survivor, this had marked him forever, he had been locked up in his house for 4 years, he had not gone out for only one day.

He worked from his luxurious mansion, despite being a successful businessman, and pursued by many women, he preferred to be single. There was no one to fill the emotional void in his heart.

“Mr. Harry, I know you don't like to talk about these issues, but it is important that you listen to me, your 29th birthday is coming up, and you have not wanted to pay attention to your parents' will, we must talk”  Ernest, his friend and caretaker since he was a child, more than his butler, he was his right hand man, he had always been looking after everything in his business, and even more so since the death of his family, since he had never been able to overcome such a hard blow, and even less so when he was diagnosed as depressive.

“Ernest, I don't like to talk about it, because it's simple, I'm not going to get married before I'm 30 years old, if I have to go and live under a bridge, then I'll do it, do you think I care anything now?” Harry has a glass of wine in his hand, he is sitting looking at the window that is in front of the garden, he takes his cane and stands up, Harry had not come out totally unharmed from the accident, he had lost a leg, he had a special prosthesis that completed his limb.

“Harry don't say that, you have also worked for your fortune, I am more than sure that if your parents could have changed the will before they passed away, you could have decided on your own, but legally, the other part of your parents' family wants to validate the delivery of their inheritance as it says in the will. You should get married before the age of 30, besides, you are one of the most eligible single men in town, I think you should give yourself a chance.”

Harry throws the wine glass against the floor full of fury, although he esteemed Ernest for his love and companionship, he was a sullen man who did not listen to reason and was against everything he was told.

“ Look, I appreciate everything you want to do for me, but I don't care about the dirty money, besides the fact that I'm the most eligible bachelor in town is an aberrant lie, they all want to marry me for physical interest, they will take my fortune when they separate from me, do you think there will be a woman in the world who loves me without a leg? What planets do you live on please!”

“Harry, you are wrong, you are an excellent human being, besides you are a very handsome and wealthy man, I suppose that any woman would want to live with you.” Ernest looks at him with admiration, he knew the capabilities of his boss, and how strong he had been although he appeared otherwise.

“You're telling me because you're my friend”Harry walks over to the large mirror he had in his living room and looks at himself, he's too handsome a man, his curly black hair is perfectly manicured, his face is made up of a thin chin, his green eyes match the pale tone of his skin, and the last few years of rehabilitation in the gym had made his muscles stand out over his clothes, but Harry hated the fact that he didn't have a leg and that he didn't have his family, there were things that money couldn't buy, he would have given anything in the world to have his parents back.

“I am not telling you this because I am your friend, I am telling you this because it is true, understand sir that you must assume a marriage in order not to lose your family's money that they have worked so hard to get, you would keep a very small part, and although the money would go to a just cause, you are already contributing to this Harry.”

“Oh yeah? and what do you propose Ernest? that I do what many do to be able to inherit? a wife by contract? we look for a humble girl we give her a good sum of money and I marry her, after 2 years which is the minimum of marriage we separate and everyone is happy, that is what I think you are insinuating me?”

-“Well Harry , I didn't mean it that way, but I don't see any other option, you can't be left with nothing, that would mean that all your employees would leave, we would go to the street, you know how many of us depend on you, sir, you should review the possibility”

“Ernest! Do you think my parents' family are idiots? That from one day to the next I'm going to get married, without even having had a previous engagement, without having introduced them to a woman.” Harry smiled ironically, it seemed crazy what Ernest was proposing.

“Of course, not sir. But we can see what chance we would have, just don't refuse to let it happen, you have only one year left to fully inherit sir, the contract could be for only two years.”

“You're crazy, what a wrong way to do things, besides I would like a woman to fall in love with me, for who I am, not for a contract” Harry limps off to his room, but his lackey is still insistent.

“Look sir, we have little time left to plan everything, I'll take care of looking for the candidates, but please, you need not only to inherit but also company, you are too lonely, and “Harry interrupts him.

“I don't need to buy a sentimental companion, but if that makes you happy and you don't have any more time to waste, look for the candidates”.

That was as if a traffic light had turned green for Ernest, he was convinced that a possible contract marriage would fix his boss's life, not only so he wouldn't lose his inheritance, but also because he needed some love, and he wasn't going to get it by being locked up in that big mansion, so, if he wasn't looking for women, they should be looking for him.
