Chapter 21: Not my type

“You don't have to worry yourself with that, Mr. Morgan; I won't be marrying you.” She hissed, her voice full of her previous confidence, and turned to leave.

“That's rich coming from you. You are not my type.” I scoffed and grinned at her, earning a glare from her in return. I didn't know why I felt like pushing her buttons so that she would spend more time with me, even if we would only be arguing. I didn't want her to leave. And right now, she is living up to each of my expectations. Such an angry little thing she was.

She had reached the door but stopped in her tracks, her eyes spewing fire, and scoffed, “Not your type?” She repeated, her voice shrill, with disbelief written all over her face. I could tell she was obviously not used to this kind of treatment. And then, as if she remembered a great comeback that would agonize me, she smiled and looked at me as if she knew all my secrets.
