Chapter 2

*Suhas Pov*

"Let's just hang out today." I said to Kavya.

"No Suhas! I need to get home soon today. Navya is going to get her results." Kavya said.

"But they are just semester results, right?" I asked her confused.

"Yeah! But we celebrate even tiny things that happen in her life. She is the heart of our family, and we want nothing but her to be happy." She replied and left.

"Heart of the family! We will just see about it. Your heart will be stolen away from your lives." I said, looking at her standing at the bus stop.

I picked up my phone and said, "You know what to be doing right? It should look real and I just want her honest reactions. However, she shouldn't accept you in the end and don't even touch her."

Hanging up, I saw the person going near her with a red rose. When he stood in front of her, she looked at him like he is an alien.

I pressed the phone to my ear so that I can hear their conversation through the phone he is holding.

"Excuse me? I love you." He said and facepalmed myself. Can't he do it a little better?

"Oh! Thank you so much. But I don't love you." She said looking at him with pity.

What? Is she mad or what? Why is she feeling bad for him?

"Come on! There must be some other chance right?" He asked her.

"Look, I need to go. My boss will kill me if I get late." She replied and started to move away.

I signaled him to keep pace with her. He stopped her again, saying, "Your boss will understand if you go late."

She immediately started laughing there itself and then composed herself saying, "That is a good joke. When my boss understands, that day the hell will freeze for sure."

"Is your boss so cruel?" He suddenly asked her worriedly.

"Yeah! She is very. I mean she asked me to count the number of ball pins remaining in three boxes so that she can note down how many are used on my first day. Can you believe it?" She asked, shaking her head.

Ouch! That's pretty awful actually! I thought, imagining that.

"Did you count them all?" He asked her and even I want to know.

She laughed and said, "Nope! I threw all the ball pins except one in each box and told her the count."

"Wow! You are amazing!" he said in 'Aww'.

"I know right! So now I need to go, and I really hope, you will find the one because I am not the one for you." She said when a bus stopped in front of them.

"How can you be so sure?" He asked her confused.

"By the reply, you gave me for my behavior. Don't think much about this and just try someone else, and anyway I prefer my family's choice." She replied and went inside the bus.

So she is also just like her sister preferring family over everything. We will find out how much of this will change by the time I end my revenge.

"Sorry, sir! I couldn't do it." He came near me and apologized.

"Just get lost and go to our office. We have some very important work in our hands." I said already deciding what I should do as this plan just failed.

I smirked at the moving bus and then got inside the car along with my P.A. Of course. This will take time for sure.

*Navya Pov*

"You are late!" those are the words I heard when I entered the office.

Doesn't she have any work or something? I mean every day does she has to welcome us like this.

"By one minute." Came the voice somewhere from the remaining staff.

"Silence!" she shouted at them.

Now, as usual, she is going to start her march in front of me. She started saying something, but as usual, I started thinking a uniform for her.

She properly suits for a character who is captain Chantel Dubois in Madagascar3 – Europe's most wanted.

Perfect! I thought and grinned at the picture. Suddenly she snapped her fingers in front of me and said, "Are you even listening?"

"Of course, Maam!" I replied and walked towards my new place.

"You didn't hear anything she told you, right?" I heard Divya asking me from her place.

"Nope! I missed you yesterday." I replied, smiling at her.

"I just thought why we should go to the office every day, so I skipped it." She said smiling.

I started working and ignored my boss's frequent glares from time to time. I earned this position with my hard work, and I didn't steal it, so she can stop her stupid looks.

That day when I reached my home, I saw that both Di and Jiju are standing along with my parents.

"Are you guys leaving?" I asked them sadly.

"Yeah! We will come again next month." Di replied hugging me.

"Why next month? Navvu! You come to our house whenever you want. I have even an awesome idea. Why don't you move in with us?" Jiju asked ruffling my hair.

"And disturb you both? No way! That will not happen." I replied smiling.

"Dad! Inform me if he comes again." Di said to Dad.

"Who is "He"?" I asked her confused even though I know what she is going to reply.

"No one!" came the reply from these four as expected, but not in this high level.

"Ok!" I said, shrugging because I know there is always so much going on behind my back.

They never tell me about any problems like never. Nevertheless, I hope one day they do that.

After they left I went inside the room feeling tired. Even though I got a promotion, the work too got increased with that.

"Navya! Here, have some food." Mom said entering the room.

"Mom! Why did you bring it here?" I asked her confused.

"I know that you 're tired. Have some food and take rest." She replied, smiling and left the room.

After finishing it, I left the room and walked towards the dining room to see Mom and Dad talking to each other seriously.

"What if he does something to hurt us?" Mom asked worriedly.

"He will not do a thing. I will not let him." Dad replied, shaking his head.

"I just hope he forgets everything and also the threat he gave us." Mom said praying.

"Do you think today's change in the office is because of him?" Dad asked after a few seconds.

"Who knows? He can do whatever he wants. His family has always been powerful in Bhopal." Mom replied shaking her head.

"Don't worry, we will find some solution for the office problem. It is actually a small one." Dad said, assuring her.

I felt guilty hearing their conversation like this. So I placed the plate on the table in the living room and went inside my room.

So someone is threatening my family due to some reason. My parents are so worried about this completely.

A small problem started in our company, which may have been caused by that person.

It is just so frustrating not to know the complete information. Maybe that's why they say that "No information is better than half information."

They could have told me about this right. I am 22, I mean nearly 22, so I can handle the news.

But no! They will never do that. This is another reason why I didn't join Dad's company. I mean they would have not allowed me to do anything and just would have made me sit on a chair in an idle state.

If it is so important, I am sure they will tell me. Who am I kidding? Of course, they won't.

Then, for now, I will just deal with my present problem, which is my boss. Tomorrow I hope, I will not get late by one minute.

With that thought I let the sleep consume me completely...
