Vivian

I walked into the ward, my heart racing with anxiety. The doctor was just leaving, a kind smile on his face.

"Ah, Vivian, good to see you. I was just discussing your mother's condition with her nurse," he said, exchanging pleasantries.

I nodded hurriedly, taking in the information. "Thank you, Doctor. How is she doing?" I asked, hopefully.

The doctor's expression turned serious. "She's stable, but still in a coma. However, we've seen some subtle changes in her brain activity that suggest she might be responding to treatment."

I felt a wave of gratitude and relief. "That's wonderful news, thank you."

The doctor's expression was encouraging. “The tumor we found is shrinking, and we're optimistic about her chances." He continued, "However, we do need to continue her treatment, and that includes regular MRIs to monitor the tumor's progress. Unfortunately, that means we'll need additional funding to cover the costs."

I nodded, understanding. "I see. How much will it be?"
