I dropped the dress on the bed as she had instructed and started to get changed in a spare bedroom wearing the perfect emerald suit, the same colour of her dress and even though the hosting venue was my house, it was built in such a grand way that the living quarters and the other parts of the house were not so closely related and I could hear the cars pull up while people started to troop to the house, I went downstairs to start the greetings and what not while I expected Vivian to start making her way downstairs but true to her word, she was not coming down.

Anger started to boil in my stomach as I moved to greet each person, trying my best not to stare at the clock but it was nearly impossible with the Rolex watch I had on my wrist, reminding me how much time Vivian was taking.

Four dry wines later and I was a walking clock on my own.
