Nate was infuriating!

The very audacity of the man!

“I think you should go to work. I am well rested and healed, you don’t have to fawn over me anymore” I said, trying to hide the fact that I was beyond pissed.

He was seated on the patio with a newspaper in his hand, a cup of freshly pressed orange juice on the table, his legs were stretched out and he was clad in what I could only term as vacation wear.

He looked at me and then took a very big breath that resulted in yet another heavy sigh.

“You know, I never thought that I would like any air that wasn’t from work but now? I think the air from the house is refined, cleaner even. I will stay and I don’t think you are fully healed to even be saying that. Only a doctor can say that you are healed,” he said and then took the newspaper and began to read blocking my vision immediately.
