Chapter 82 Wife's Duty

“I should call Cory to drive you home.”

Kristel fished out her phone from her bag, but Galvin stretched his arm and stopped her.

“No. He had an emergency at home, so I must not bother him tonight.”

Kristel raised one brow upward upon hearing Galvin’s explanation. She was in disbelief that it seemed to be the first time he was giving his assistant such consideration when he had always busied himself with work, which caused his subordinates to work overtime.

‘Did the sun settle in the north?’ she thought.

Staring at each other’s eyes, another car passes them, allowing Kristel to look better at Galvin’s countenance.

The lighting from the fences of her parent’s manor is all dim; thus, she cannot make out how pale he is already.

But now, she noticed Galvin’s face was as white as a sheet. And all of a sudden, he was coughing so intensely that he needed to reach for the hood of his Bentley to lend some strength.
