47. Being The Center of Attention

Haley's palm flew to that spot on her neck, her heart sinking.

Apprehension filling up her heart, she dared not stare into the guy's eyes.

William Nash deserved more than a crash in the head!

“Ha,uhm… it's just- it's just a mosquito bite.” Haley bit her lips.

Quickly, she loosened up her hair, letting it fall over her shoulders to conceal her neck.

“That mosquito must be a master at his job.” Daryl cleared his throat, a hint of laughter in his tone.

Haley blushed.

She stared out of the window and took in a long drag of the air.

If she hadn't been so frightened, she wouldn't have instinctively hit Liam with the vase.

If only he'd listened to her warning to stay away from her.

An awkward silence hung in the air after Daryl's last statement.

None of them spoke a word until the car finally pulled over.

“You're not lively around my Bro. Hope he's not bullying you.”

Haley didn't see his question coming.
