Haley glanced at him, taking in his serious expression.

She couldn't recall making him any promises.

Ah, did he mean repaying him for saving her from the basement?

Maybe Daryl expected her to return the favor which was normal.

But Daryl didn't ask for anything in return, and she couldn't remember making any promises to him.

Well, it was only right that she returned his kind gesture.

“I'll treat you to dinner, what do you think?” She asked.

Daryl didn't nod or reply, a faint smile forming on his face.

Was that not what he expected to hear?

“You weren't referring to the basement, were you?”

“Forget it.” He shook his head, laughing softly.

But Haley only found his behavior strange.

If he wasn't referring to saving her from the basement, what other favor had he done her?

Was it about driving her home last night or this food she was eating?
