Kate’s POV

That night, I couldn’t sleep. The prosecutor’s decision to acquit Darwis and Kayra of all charges kept haunting my mind. The fact that they could go free without any punishment felt so unfair. I was restless, pacing my apartment, trying to find a way to get justice.

After trying to contact the prosecutor’s office several times and getting turned down by the receptionist, I felt frustrated. There was no satisfactory answer, and every time I tried to meet the prosecutor, I was always told that he was busy with a trial or other matters. I knew something was wrong, something was being hidden.

Finally, I decided to take matters into my own hands. I had to get answers, and the only way to do that was to confront Darwis directly. I grabbed my car keys and left the apartment, my heart full of determination.
