Darwis's POV

I looked straight ahead, even though my mind was wandering somewhere. The silent and tense courtroom was now empty. The judge had banged his gavel, marking the end of my marriage to Kate. After years of being together, we finally officially divorced. It felt like a heavy weight had been lifted from my shoulders, but at the same time there was a feeling of emptiness that I couldn't explain.

My steps felt heavy as I left the courthouse. Outside, the world continued to move as usual, as if nothing had changed. People walked by, cars passed by, and the sun was still shining brightly. But inside me, there is a storm brewing. I couldn't ignore the feelings of guilt and regret that gnawed at my heart. I thought about Kate, the woman I had been with for the past 2 years, and how we had gotten to this point.
