The doctor gave Evelyn a sterile gown to wear before taking her into the emergency room.

When she saw Warren connected to all kinds of machines, she felt as though her heartstrings were about to snap.

She clenched her fists tightly but could barely feel her nails piercing her skin.

Slowly, she walked to Warren's side. She held his palm between her cold hands and said calmly, "Warren, our baby will turn two months old in a few days. The doctor said we'll be able to hear his heartbeat then. Don't you want to feel a sign of his life?"

She gently placed Warren's hand on her belly so he could feel her body heat and their baby.

She glanced at the heart rate monitor that wasn't responding then continued, "Hubby, in a few months, he'll be able to move in my belly. I heard that it feels absolutely magical. Don't you want to experience that too?

"Didn't you promise me that you were going to start training him in the womb? You haven't started reading him the book that I borrowed from Tammy.
