Chapter 309

Clara was woken up by some noises and got off her bed. Massaging her aching head, she went downstairs groggily.

When she reached the bottom of the stairs, she heard Johnny's voice.

"You must have made a mistake. My daughter has been at home. She wouldn't have gone out and hurt anybody. Besides, she's just a timid child. How could she have possibly plotted such a great scheme?

"Evelyn must have slandered Clara. I will sue her."

The police said, "Mr. Sullivan, we have witness and material evidence here. Ms. Sullivan is suspected of instigating others to harm another individual, which resulted in serious injuries.

"If you don't bring her to us, we will apprehend her by force and law."

Hearing that made Clara collapse onto the floor.

She had done everything so secretively. How could anyone have found out about it?

Even the calls were made with a new number. How would they have evidence for this?

Her movements by the stairs alerted the cops.

One of the young cops was qui
