Chapter 28

Evelyn felt a prick in her heart when she heard the word "home".

She had truly taken that place as her home at one point. She had gone to the shops to get ornaments and personally decorated every part of the house. The cold house finally saw warmth when she moved in.

She would go to the grocery store to get fresh ingredients and cook Warren his favorite dishes after work every day. Then, she would wait for him to come home from work and have a meal together. She used to think that that was the happiest time of her life.

She thought that even if Warren had no thoughts of getting married, she wouldn't mind living the rest of her life with him like that.

It never occurred to her that she was the only one who'd been delusional since the start. Warren never had any sincere feelings for her and had only treated her as a bedmate. A sardonic smile crept up on her lips at the thought of that.

"That's your home, not mine. I won't go back with you."
