After the meal, Seth drove Evelyn back to her hotel. He walked her to her door and finally mustered the courage to ask, "Evie, about the thing I asked you previously… Have you given it some thought?"

Evelyn hesitated. Just as she opened her mouth, she heard a deep voice boom behind her.

"Ms. Jefferson, do you have some time right now? I have a follow-up question about my case that I would like to discuss with you."
