Chet's surprise lasted for a good few seconds. Then, he stated calmly, "Your memory is really amazing, Mrs. Khind. You remember this so clearly even after so many years."

Suzanne sighed and said, "I was friends with your mother. She had only gotten hurt so badly because she wanted to save the child in her belly. Of course, I remember clearly.

"When your sister was born, she was not like the other babies. She was so pale and chubby, and she had large eyes like your mother. The birthmark really looked like a flower.
