Thank you all for reading! I am a mother to a teenager and a toddler. I have a fully time job and I use my evenings to write the stories that are pounding to get out of my head to you all to read! I apologize for the grammatical errors that my tired eyes might miss. However, I am so incredibly thankful for all your support! Each day I will continue to strive to do my best to provide the perfect story in hopes that you enjoy it. I do read all the comments that are left. Thank you, thank you, thank you!
Ky looked at me straight in the eyes before looking at Jessica. “Out of respect for your family and not wanting to start off on the wrong foot, she can be present. You know how I have always been, Waylon.” Ky gave me a look. “And you know how our family is. Jessica isn’t going to put up with your ways and you know that. She isn’t going to be happy sitting in the kitchen and be kept out of the loop. However, it’s not like she is going to come in and question everything you stand for. Jessica is working towards finishing her residency. She is a medical doctor and works in my hospital.” I wanted it known that she wasn’t going to be happy in their very traditional dynamic they have. “I’m sure we can figure out a good compromise that will make everyone happy.” Ky said, politically correct. As a man, I was worried for my sister but I also knew Ky and I knew he would not mistreat my sister in anyway. As a brother, I knew Jessica would not allow Ky to treat her wrong. She would die before h
Jessica was toeing a very difficult line. Enough so, that I made sure I was standing behind her as Ky and Kent looked at each other and back at us. It was Kent that broke the silence first. “Well, boy. Leave it to you to have a forward thinking mate.” Standing up, he walked over to Jessica. “I think you are just what this pack needs.” He smiled at her. “The pack or Ky?” I asked, giving him a smirk. “Maybe both.” Kent walked back to his chair but stayed standing. “We will hear you out and then go from there.” Ky gave Jessica a look that said, happy? “With an open mind.” It was a statement, not a question from Jessica. “With an open mind. We promise.” Ky padded the chair next to him, motioning for Jessica to take a seat. One she ignored. “Waylon? Please?” “If this backfires, it’s on you.” I said directly to her. Her eyes showed the hopefulness she was feeling and the nervousness. “Let’s hear it.” Kent interrupt my stare down. “Well. I need to show you the proof as we talk.
Pulling out my phone, I found Charlotte’s thread. Me: Hey beautiful, you still up?Charlotte: Yeah, there is a documentary on the Titanic.Me: How’s interesting. Did you do anything fun today?Charlotte: Used the sketch pad and paints. Nothing really to do here but watch T.V. Work out and draw.Me: Hopefully you don’t have to stay there much longer. I’ll check with the guys and see where we are at. Charlotte: That would be great.Me: I’m going to go to bed. Text you in the morning.Charlotte: Okay, night.Me: Goodnight. After deleting the text, my phone got plugged in and I passed out hard. When my alarm went off in the morning, I was in the same position I was in when I fell asleep. It’s been a long time since I slept that hard. Usually, I toss and turn when I am in a strange bed. My phone dinged, telling me a had a text. It was from the guys. Arlo: We have the pictures.Me: Perfect. Bring them to me tomorrow.Arlo: K Maybe we will be able to act quicker on this. What Jessic
“I just… I just feel a sense of duty towards her. I can’t explain it.” Brayden shook his head and looked out the window. He was ashamed for feeling this way but it still rubbed me wrong. “That is because she is the true queen and people are going to feel the need to protect her. Everyone feels that way but that doesn’t mean you have some claim over her. She isn’t your to demand any type of information or anything from. Although it is your job to protect her as a warrior, she isn’t your mate and you need to back off.” “I just want to see that she is treated correctly and gets the life she deserves.” Brayden kept some of his stubborn misplaced protectiveness. “Do you honestly think that my team, who has been working night and day to figure out a way to clear her name is mistreating her? You believe as her mate that I am mistreating her?” My knuckles were turning white on the steering wheel. “I don’t know you! The only time I have seen you, you both were running for your life.” “A
“It’s too damn early. Let me call everyone. Be in your office at 4pm. We can decide then. Call your people and I’ll call mine.” Patrick yawned. “I need a chance to look over it all. Then I can give you a full and confident answer.” “Sounds good.” Lowering the phone down, Patrick hung up for me. “So, my time is limited here.” Charlotte sighed. “Your time was always limited here.” Sighing, I just didn’t know. “I mean, we both knew I couldn’t keep you in a locked room forever. Eventually, we were going to have to face this head on.” “I know. I was just hoping for a little longer but this needs to get done. Prolonging it, isn’t going to chance the outcome. Time to face my reality.” “I’m sorry. I wish there is something I can do to ease it.” Charlotte sat in my lap as I lowered myself down. “You are doing plenty and then some. I appreciate what you have done.” Charlotte gave me a small kiss on the cheek before getting up. “You should get going. It’s almost 6:30 and you have a busy
“Hold up. Let’s not rush into things.” Jessica jumped in quickly. “I wasn’t meaning you will die tomorrow.” “I understand that but what is tomorrow going to bring us that we don’t have today?” I asked. No one spoke a word. Instead, I could just feel them looking at their hands or feet. Anything to avoid answering. We may not be the same room but that didn’t chance people’s reactions. “Give me at least tomorrow to get my stuff around and prepare for your trial to start up again. Turn yourself in the next day. I’ll be waiting for the call that said you did it. I think it would reflect poorly if I am with you.” “Well, that is a concern. What if they take me in without telling anyone and then run the blood test. Then Axel won’t know when to intervene. They could easily just kill me and say they never saw me.” For some reason, that was a valid concern in my eyes. “Maybe you can contact the media? Make a whole production out of it.” Patrick chimmed in. “That would be good. They would
“Just be outside really. I want to feel the wind on my face. Smell the grass. Maybe take a nap in the shade.” “Easy enough to do.” Jessica laughed. Ky gave me a sad smile. “How about a picnic?” Wade asked. “That would be perfect.” Walking over to Wade, I was able to slip under his arm. “Could Nova join us?” I asked, looking up at Wade. “Sure.” “Where are we going to do this without her being seen?” Axel asked. “I’ll put a restriction to the West side of the pack grounds. It’s all forest anyway so that should be good. There is a little pasture we can use.” Wade shrugged like to was no big deal. “I’ll get it set up. We still have some work to do.” Axel stood up as he looked at Wade. My heart sank a little but he still had a pack to run. “You need to finish packing.” Ky said to Jessica. “Can she sit in my room?” Jessica asked. “Jessica… I” Wade started. He felt bad but I knew he was going to say no. Not wanting to actually hear I couldn’t, I jumped in too. “I am actually
“JESSICA!” I yelled as my bare ass bounced to the bathroom. This was the most embarrassing thing I have every been involved in. Her laughter echoed as I assumed Waylon shoved her back upstairs. Holy hell, I couldn’t go out there now with this on! Taking it off, I just slipped on the shorts and tshirt that I was wearing. Since I was still not ready to show my face, my ass planted itself on the toilet. “Charlotte… She’s gone.” Waylon knocked on the door and yelled in. “She might as well have stayed.” “Open the door.” Waylon tried to come in but I had locked it. Didn’t matter he could easily break the door down but he respected my need for privacy. “She is getting us more food and then will be back.” “I don’t think I can show my face again!” “You looked hot.” Waylon said matter-factly. “I’ll never be wearing lingerie again, just so you know.” “Aw, come on!” Waylon must have let his head drop against the door. The whole thing shook, making me question if he really was going t
Thank you to everyone for reading Diamond Eyed Luna! This was an idea I had dreamed about and was really excited to write this. As always, I do try to read each comment left and respond. I am beyond blessed to be able to share my stories with you. Due to my surgery and life with a toddler, I am taking June off to focus on my family and my healing. However, I am currently writting my next book. Keep a watch out at the end of June as I will be back posting like normal in July. I am still deciding on a name for the book but right now I am thinking it will be called Tattoo Luna. As far as the series with Royal Gems, I am putting that on the back burner for now. If you have read them, you know each book stands on it's own. I have a few books that I want to get out before I revisit this series. Many have asked for a sequal to Opal Eyed Luna and that is on my list to do as well. Thank you all for your support! Mrs. Smith
“PUSH!” Waylon was standing beside me as was attempting to break his hand. The labor has been going on for hours now and my body was on the edge of giving up. “I can’t!” I groaned. My entire body was exposed as the male doctor had his face inches off my vagina. This whole thing was uncomfortable. Two nurses were holding my legs up. “On more big push!” My eyes were closed since I had no motivation to watch four different people stare at my vagina. It was actually quite distracting. “You got this, momma.” Waylon whispered in my ear. “Where is Jessica?” I half cried from the burn. “In with Nova and Axel.” Waylon answered for me. “She-she isn’t doing well.” There was a tone to Waylon that caught my attention. Peaking my eyes open, I looked into the concern filled eyes. “Queen Hailey, I’m sorry but if you don’t push this baby out, we will have to do a c-section.” The doctor showed little sympathy for my current position. “Come on, you can do this!” Waylon plastered on a determine
Hailey POV I was about to lose hope when something reached out and grabbed my foot. The girliest scream escaped my mouth, letting all the air out from my legs. My body was being pulled further under the water. At one point, I tried to kick but something sharp pierced my ankle. It was only when I started to rise again, that some hope filled my burning lungs. Whatever was holding me, pushed me upward. I listened as the need for air was becoming more and more intense. Once when black spots started clouding my vision did my head break the surface. Air plunged into my lunges as I inhaled deeply. It burned going down. My arm caught a rock’s edge that I clung to. Breathing deeply, I watched as a figure lifted himself out of the water and to the edge. “Ky.” “I told you to swim down!” He chastised me. “No, you did not.” Glaring, I pulled myself up so I was sitting on the ledge too. “Where are we?” “Underground tunnel. It leads to my bedroom. Let’s go.” Ky stood up and without waiting f
My wolf didn’t even hesitate. Positioning herself behind Thomas, she allowed the guards to have full view. Out of the corner of her eye, she saw Ky pick up the chest with his mouth and slowly start making his way to us.“I said, DON’T MOVE!” A warner shot fired, hitting the tree by my head. There were so many things I could have said in this situation but she didn’t like any of them. Instead, she took her claw and sliced across Thomas’s neck so deep that I swear she hit his spine. Blood sprayed but we didn’t stick around to find out. Before his body even dropped, we were running full speed. The sounds of bones breaking and gun fire went off behind us. Ky was running beside us but since the woods were so thick, he wasn’t at full speed. More than once, bullets connected in a tree, right where our head used to be. I was struggling to remember the path that Ky told me but my wolf didn’t seem too concerned. Ky was staying beside us but if we were to get separated… Thunder started echoin
“Yes.” “You and I both know what kind of sadistic person James was. It was either kill or be killed. Women get beaten, raped and tortured in his pack if they don’t do as James asked. I’m assuming she had her fair share of hard lessons before she just did what he asked. Did she ever come out and tell me about it, no. Do I think she ever did it willingly, no. Do I think she did them, yes. I have no doubt she carries that with her everyday.” “Does Axel know?” Ky asked.“I’m not sure. When she found out who I really was, she turned her back to me. It was only after she learned the truth that she realized she was wrong. By that time, damage was done. We haven’t had much chance to catch up. Jessica and the boys really did a number on our lives.” “Do you regret it?” Ky asked.“Regret what?” Or like, which part.“Finding Waylon?” “I was living on borrowed time anyway. Thomas had pictures of us in his closet, he knew where I was this whole time. Not sure if he knew who Nova was though.” “
“Waylon?” “James is here.” His voice was furious as he stepped away from me. “WHAT?” Standing up, all sexual tension was gone. “Yeah.” Waylon grabbed my arm and we both jumped in the shower. Moving in unison, I shampooed my hair while he washed his body and then we flipped. It worked so well that we were done in three minutes. “Why?” I asked as I towel dried my hair as we made our way to our clothes. “He won’t tell the guards.” Waylon sounded pissed. Grabbing a cotton dress, Waylon slipped on a pair of jeans and a t-shirt. I was braiding my hair as we walked out the room. “If we start fighting, you need to get to safety. I can’t focus if I am worried about you. If I am fighting James, I need all my focus.” “I’m not arguing about this with you. I will not run from a fight but I will stay out of the middle.” That was my only compromise. Axel was waiting at the front door when we got there. “Nova?” I asked as we walked outside. “Save.” Axel only said one word but his eyes spo
“Shit!” Axel’s knees buckled as he let go of my arms, Taking advantage of his position. My arms wrapped around his neck from behind. Keeping my body away from his was the only way this was going to work. His hands were on the ground. Moving my body as far away as possible, I tried to put as much distance between us. Unfortunately, Axel grabbed under my arms and lifted me up. He flipped me over, forcing me to let go or rip my arms from their sockets. Landing on my feet, Axel had went to a knee. Since his back was towards me, I sprung into action. Jumping up, I landed on his back and wrapped my legs around his neck. Trying to put him into another submission role. Axel was able to get a hand under my leg before I started squeezing so he pried my legs open. Axel grabbed my hip and pulled me around to face him. “Fucking worm.” He muttered as he tried to put both of my wrist in one of his hands. As much as I tried to fight against him, he moved his legs and placed it over my hips. Not so
I took a back seat in my mind as my wolf came forward. She jolted forward when the gun went off. Using only my arms, she scaled the wall with easy. One hand on top of the other, she reached the top and kept the momentum and tossed my legs over it. Landing on one knee, she kept going. The crowd was cheering in the background but she was ignoring them. Instead, she focused on each step we took and how the ground felt under my feet. She really wanted to transform but settled for this. The dummies were standing in front of her. The first one she was able to pull my arms in and slip around. Rotating my body 90 degrees, she was able to slip around the next one. Dropping to a squatting position, she slipped under another. Pivoting, she took a wide step as she avoided a rather aggressive looking dummy. As she shifted again, my hair caught one of the barbwires but she didn’t stop. Instead, she allowed my hair to be ripped out. Fuck, that hurt but it didn’t faze her. She instantly dropped
“So, she needs to earn your respect, huh?” Waylon’s voice came from around the corner. All three of them had the decency to bow their heads as they allowed Waylon to enter the kitchen. His arms were folded over his chest and his voice was deadly calm. It even sent shivers down my spine but I found it pleasurable. “A-alpha.” One of the guys stuttered. “Answer her question. Damian, Scott and Mark right? You three are new to the warrior team. Interesting you are questioning my decision about the right person to be Luna.” None of them answered Waylon. Instead, they kept their faces downward. “Sounds like they need a reminder what it means to be a warrior.” I said as I popped a blackberry in my mouth. All three of them stiffened. I wasn’t sure exactly what Waylon did to make people achieve in order to become a warrior but it’s never an easy thing. “Interesting. Have them redo warrior training?” Waylon repeated. “Can she even do it?” One of the guys had the balls to ask. The other tw
