"I know, right..." Jeff agreed, oblivious to Richard's sarcasm. "That'd be really wild, especially since I told you to do a background check on Chloe when I first met her."

Jeff shot Richard an accusing look, even though he himself knew too well that Chloe wasn't a twin. She'd have mentioned it if she had.

The crease on Richard's brow deepened. His friend most certainly didn't believe that Chloe was a twin.

He'd only been sarcastic when he said that.

"Consider that as an option when you're checking things out. I want you to check out all the available possibilities," Jeff ordered.

"No way she was a twin; my background check on her was thorough," Richard countered, shocked by the fact that Jeff actually thought Chloe was a twin.

"Yes, right. That's why you missed out on the fact that her father was trafficking drugs."

"True," Richard admitted. "I know that I missed out her father's drug trafficking business, but there is no way I'd have left out something like this
