**Alpha King's POV**

"Eleanor?" I murmured nervously, my voice echoing in the empty room.

I looked at the clock. It was five in the morning. I took a deep breath, just another normal day, with me having nightmares and calling out for my mate. This had been eating away at me ever since Eleanor left this palace.

"Alpha..." my beta called me through the mental link.

"Any news of Eleanor?" I asked anxiously. It had been five days, and I had sent some men to the Valley of Dry Bones, but none of them had returned with news.

"No, Alpha, I'm sorry. We're still focused on the search, but I haven't received any information so far," my beta replied apprehensively.

I closed my eyes, feeling the frustration and helplessness weigh on me. Each passing day without news of Eleanor increased the anguish in my chest. I got out of bed, deciding that standing still was not an option.
