POV ALPHA GIDEON

### POV

"Did you call for me?" my beta asked through the mind link, his voice laden with apprehension.

"Yes, come in!" I ordered curtly, and within seconds, he opened the door to my office.

"Have you been hiding from me?" I asked mockingly.

"Alpha Gideon, it's almost two in the morning. Why did you call me so late?" he asked, confused.

I simply picked up the papers on the table and threw them on the floor in his direction. He carefully bent down to pick them up, widening his eyes as he read what was on the paper.

"What does this mean?" he asked, perplexed, seeing the test results.

"Eleanor is pregnant with my child," I smiled with satisfaction as he furrowed his brow in surprise. "However, she doesn't want me to know..." I shrugged, unconcerned, taking a sip of whiskey. "So, we'll pretend I don't know about it..."
