Chapter 76

We both were in Jason's car heading to his pack. I was nervous would be an understatement. My feelings were complicated, I was happy and anxious at the same time but also worried about the patients.

Jason seemed to notice as he placed his large hand on my thigh and squeezed it lightly to draw my attention. "What's wrong Angel?" He asked and I just passed him a tight-lipped smile. With his thick brows furrowed he faced the road.

"Nothing's wrong. I'm just a bit nervous," I said truthfully and he gave me a quick smile before rubbing my thigh gently.

"There's nothing to be nervous about, April. I'm with you, it'll be fine. Just stay by my side all the time," He said and I nodded.

I observed the way he languidly turned the steering wheel with the palm of his hand. His sleeves were folded to his elbows and the act had his veins popping out and I watched with my mouth watered.
