Ethan had done a background check on Susan. He knew it was wrong but he just wanted to know why she loathed men so much and what he found out was unexpected.

Her father had left her mother when she got pregnant with their first child. He fell in love with another woman and for that woman, he left his mate who was Susan's mom.

When Susan grew up a little she used to ask about her father because all of her friends had a father except for her.

At first, her mother used to tell her that her father had been working abroad and would come back one day but years passed and he never returned. She was in high school when she dug up her father on her own and found out what happened. She then confronted her mom who told her the truth and ever since then, she hated men to the core.
