Chapter 8

The dinner went by smoothly. Blair and Ethan talked a lot. It was obvious Blair liked Ethan. She was happy for her daughter while Susan on the other hand was still trying to overcome the fact that she was willing to give him a chance.

Ethan requested to drop them but Susan told him she had brought her car. They said their goodbyes and they went home. Throughout the ride, Blair continued to talk nonstop about Ethan.

At home, they retired to their rooms. Susan put her right knee on the edge of the bed before dropping face-first on the mattress and sighing. It was such a long day. She felt tired.

Susan won't deny the fact that the food at his restaurant was amazing. Though she was barely talking to him, she was prying on his conversation with her mom. She recalled him saying that he loves cooking. She wonder which recipes he made.

Susan changed into her comfy clothes and got into bed. A yawn escaped her lips as she scrolled through her phone and checked tomorrow's schedule at univ
