Chapter 1 The Isolated Boy of Green Valley

In isolated green valley lives a boy, meditated as his usual. He has a long straight hair, flowing like no end, which makes him appear feminine than manly. 

Cross-legged, his mind fell to the deepest, his calm breathing made the surrounding to freeze. In this point, he remind to the confusing statement of his sister, “You are sister's reflection. Sister glad to see you!” 

He thought it was a joke, not that he know what joke is. But this sister of his fond of such a thing since the day he meet her. “Sister feel good upon seeing how beautiful you are, which only meant one thing...” His sister giggled, stood highly as if she just compliment her own appearances.

He smiled, thought that perhaps it wasn't at all a big deal and must abandon the thought that this sister of his was more than strange. He wouldn't dare to question the strangeness even though he have a set of questions since she show up like nothing happened. He afraid she may offended and leave him like what his parent do when he just got to see the world. 

Right now, what he want to do was to accept everything about her and the words he uttered every time. She just trust the woman, that's because she said she's his sister; the daughter of those who abandoned him the moment he born to the world.

It was said that he should have long gone after birth, so having a sense of life for an hour of losing the heartbeat only meant one thing: Inside his child form was nothing but a demonic thing! 

So if they were to keep him, that may only bring misfortune to the clan...

His twin sister felt bad about the eldest decision; the cruel conduct of life that they judge to a new born. According to her, the world outside's more than that, and that he shouldn't have to feel bad anymore about what happened. That it long gone, the belief of demonic thingy that resided inside one's body.

He conclude after hearing those words, that perhaps the reason that after ten years, his twin sister show up was for his forgiveness. He never know all of that until his twin sister show up. Apparently, he have no idea what to forgive cause he doesn't feel anything toward those incident. 

Yet the very presence of his twin sister dug the past. And the memory of the cruelty that bestowed upon him...

After thorough analysis and the strange feelings of rage inside him, he choose to forget all of those for the sake of peace of mind. For the love of life, he doesn't even known those people personally! 

And he has this belief that he survive without consuming what an ordinary people consume to survive because he doesn't harbor any negative emotions to anything and anyone in this world.

And he already learn the lesson for something happened when he was so young as such this green village. That's why he easily and eventually abandone those emotions that he don't know about.

Aside by naturally showing up by the so-called forgiveness, this twin sister visited once to five times a month for a reason, besides looking at him as if he is a type of mirror, was also for a favor.

“Sister want me to pretend...?” He was confuse to what does it even mean, so he naturally drop the favor on hand. One of the reason was his fear to the outside of the green village. That's natural though because he lives his life in solitude since the day he abandoned. 

Except when his sister show up that day, he able to withstand the change as if it so easy for him to do so. Or because he doesn't what to react unnaturally? 

If he has the chance to go outside though, beyond the isolated green valley, he will know right away on why his sister always pointed out that he is her only hope to avoid being drawn to something that she keep avoiding to happen...

“Aren't brother sick of having alone in this isolated green valley?” The question that stop him from almost a month for meditation. It cause a dramatic decrease of his life spun, and as if his heart weakened that he unable to even stand now.

At that point of time, he realized the emptiness in his heart. Having no chance or reason to set foot in a place that far from his usual environment, he have never know what's the big world can even contribute to his life and knowledge about the world. 

But will his heart be content if he choose to leave everything behind? 

The isolated green valley is his home, the environment of almost the plant, herbs, and everything around, of both life or simply just a thing that shape with enormous but weird formation! 

These may reflect to his emptiness, for searching reason of his existence...

He feared that he will lose his self if his heart were to found content. However, he never know what is contentment, so he keep pondering about everything. But what he was certain though is that something has to fill in his heart to achieve such contentment. 

“Can brother do the favor for me...and for a chance of life outside the?” 

At first glance, he most likely accept whatever his sister trying to say and ask for him to do. He seen as if a boy who have no other thing in mind but to help one after another. A pushover of some sort.

Yet, his twin sister have forgotten that he live in isolation, and thus have no way to have a normal set of thought and reaction of things. He may nodded for approval but it's up for him after knowing what the favor is all about. He has an exceptional knowledge, despite having no knowledge to react to things, which may his advantage to the wicked world outside. Just like his twin sister who show up not only for his forgiveness but to ask for his favor, to act for her stead and finally leave the isolated green valley!

But is that really what he wanted? That the factor that his twin sister don't even consider as she ask him for the greatest turn offate. His twin sister that live in regret, thinking that she is the reason why his twin brother has to abandoned by their own parents!

Such a cruel thought, but is everything's has a specific time to change cruelness of life?

Looking back, he find his silent and lack of concrete answer to his twin sister as a sole reason of her not pay a visit a month. In that time of month, he lose track to his meditative state. He lose focus, remembering what she said, “Be this poor sister's light! Doing so, act for the rest of your life as I am who never been abandoned, and to forget being a boy in isolation!”

Until now, he thought that everyone has the same appearances. And to how one can point out whom from whom is their presence. That's what he realized when his twin sister ask him to be her light. Was her world so dark outside?

Poor her...

He shiver when a presence just enter the green village, a familiar presence that brightened his mood!

“Sister...” he open his eyes and breath so fine as if not in a so long meditative state.

“It's been a month,” he softly whisper, forgetting the manner as his heart exploding in excitement. “How are you, sister?” He thought to ask the reason why she forgot to visit but he abandon the idea and ask the plain question, as if he able to feel the need to do so.

It was a truth that he worried for her absence for a month, and above all, he fear to be, again, abandoned... 

And now he thought may due to not doing the favor she ask. His twin sister becoming a part of his life, a family that according to her is a vital and greatest foundation of the world to find peace! 

Without the so-called family and the sense of acceptance for everyone as a family, the world will always be cruel to everyone's life...

After exchanging their respect and greeting, he notice the change in her sister expression. He sense trouble in her set of thought. But why?

“Is there something...wrong?”

Her twin sister, who, for unknown reason haven't provide him knowledge about her identity other than being his twin sister, gasped to what he said. For the previous month since he believe that he has a twin sister, he always in silent and just observing her. If ask, he just answer without too much thought about the question. That's maybe why his twin sister is in shock, she visited after the month to breathe out the exhaustion in her heart. Even she thought to ask again the favor, she never have expected that he will incite the topic.

“Sister need... Uh, nothing,” she sighed as stop midair to what she really wanted to say. The once brightest face darkened and was in so much trouble.

“I can feel the heavy of your heartbeat, sister,” he said which gasped the sister as if he begun uttered a strange. He gulped and look away when he realize that's may be inappropriate term. “I'm just...worried.” 

He deeply confuse to what he trully felt inside that he couldn't let go. He has the feeling that something bothering his sister, and knowing that it suffocate her, he couldn't just keep refusing, right?

“Sister want...to live in peace,” she said disheartedly and sigh so deeply. “But the world stop this poor sister from found happiness. I couldn't visit for a month for matter that couldn't share...sorry,” he added and look away with expression of deep pain.

“Brother never understand what it means to understand,” he said, thought that perhaps he shouldn't have refuse to the very first time. “But I can only certain to help you find the ease of your burden. So tells me your burden, sister,” he said, hide the deep hesitation. Even when his sister told him already in numerous time that pretending as her was easy as meditating, he still have doubt.

“It such a burden for me to keep refusing you,” he added, able to resist the urge to stop himself from talking anymore. His voice even shaky but he doesn't mind when he notice her face resume to brightened. “So I thought I can help you this time...”

For some unknown reason, he can feel his heart panting harder than usual. He has a bad feeling about the so-called burden and he never been wrong in his guesses. Even when the time that a lion beast visited the isolated green valley when he's just five years old, the same feeling that something goes wrong bothered him now. 

And he can only hope that this so-called disguising isn't much like of having the beast lion entering the green valley; That when he feel comfortable with it comes the wicked intention, destroying the peace and his meditation...
