"Is this why I don't feel pain? It's not a condition?" I asked Hera who was to my right

"No, it's not a condition. All Goddess and Gods can't feel pain," Hera explains

"We don't really need air either," Aphrodite adds from my left

This explains why we are swimming in the ocean without any caps or oxygen or anything.

"Oh wow, really?" Death and I asked at the same time before glaring at each other, but the goddesses seemed to gush over the dumb moment

"Your staring," Death says

"I was just wondering to myself how someone could possibly be so ugly," I lied, narrowing my eyes at him

It was those stupid eyes

He chuckled, "And yet you just admitted it was my eyes,"

He can read my mind?

My lips purse as my cheeks heat up and I look away as I swim in between Hera and Demeter, "Telling me you could read my thoughts should have happened at the beginning, like when you met me. Have you ever heard of privacy?" I asked but cut him off before he said anything, "Oh, of course not because you were standing in my fucking mirror while I was in the bathroom. I could have been naked," I look over at him as he was beside Hera

"Only a bonus for me," he replied smugly

I was about to swim under Hera to get to him and beat his ass, but Demeter grabbed my ankle sending me a glance.

"Bitch," I mumble as we arrive somewhere.

It was a city? An underwater city. Is Atlantis real? I think I might pass out again. I just can't believe that Poseidon actually has a giant fork.

"It's not called a fork," Death says from beside me.

"First, mind your fucking business, and second, I didn't ask you," I tell him as we walk inside the giant dome-like building where mermaids were teaching fish to play instruments and stuff.

However, the main part where we were standing, was not filled with water, but air. The rooms around us were made of glass and filled with water.

This is just like 'The Little Mermaid'.

"You are so dumb," Death says disappointedly, as he shakes his head at me

"Oh wow, I asked for your opinion," I say sarcastically

"Actually, it was a fact," he replies smugly

"What will be a fact is when my foot is shoved up your-"

"As much as we love your couple's quarrel," Zeus started as Death and I glared at him for calling it that, "You guys can suppress all that sexual tension in Hell, later,"

"Uh yeah, no thanks, can't I go back to like...I don't know my life?" It feels weird requesting something I shouldn't have to request.

"What life?" Death replies rudely.

"Oh you little bitch," I launched myself at him only to be grabbed by the goddess as the gods tell him to shut up.

"Can't I like snap and open some portal or something?" I ask as I watch one of the mermaids teach.

She looked the happiest out of all of them like she enjoyed teaching the fishes music and it looked like they do too. All the other mermaids didn't have any smiles or fake ones on their faces but hers was so real.

"Gabriella," Demeter said and I jogged to catch up with them

"What were you doing?" Hera asks

"Staring," I reply bluntly, "At her," I point quickly at the mermaid a small smile gracing my lips as I see her red hair

"Oh, Ariel?" Poseidon asks and the girl looks over here making me hold in my laughter and I'm sure Death was doing the same thing

Tears were pooling in my eyes as I tried not to laugh and I'm sure I was red.

"Are you guys okay?" Demeter asks

Aphrodite and Zeus exchange glances before smiles graze their lips as we hold in our laughter.

"What's funny?" Poseidon asks as Ariel stands beside him

I swear she looks exactly like her too.

Just then, Death bursts into laughter, followed by me, after probably hearing my thoughts.

"Maybe they don't hate each other," Hera says

We both stop laughing and look at each other before grimacing and scooting away from each other.

"It was just funny, I don't know why you guys don't think so," I reply crossing my arms

"Well we don't share thoughts," Hera says

"Seeing as we are not mates," Aphrodite adds

"None of us," Demeter adds

"And spend little to no time in the human world," Zeus adds

"Okay, we get it," we say at the same time again making us both scoot even farther away from each other

We took the shoulders of the person who was standing on the other side of us before swapping them out for where we were once standing, leaving Hera and Poseidon standing beside each other with I on Hera's other side and Death on Poseidon’s.

"Well you think alike," Zeus tells us

"She thinks like an idiot," Death points his thumb at me

"You are an idiot," I clarify

"Exactly, so you both- in reality, think like idiots," Poseidon says making us roll our eyes mumbling different things in response

"Am I still needed?" Ariel asks politely

"No, you can go," she says

I hear one of the groups going through a song and my head slightly bobs to the song listening to the tune and grimacing when I hear 3 wrong notes until they are done.

"Are you done?" Death asks

"Done with what?" My eyebrows furrow

"Well all I was hearing was 'Wrong note, a wrong note, wrong note'," he says

"If you would get out of my head, you wouldn't, smart ass," I tell him

"I didn't know you like music," Demeter turns to me, bringing all the Goddess' attention to me

"You met me like 40 minutes ago," I roll my eyes jokingly

"So?" She asks with a giggle

a chuckle leaves my lips, "I'm majoring in music while in college,"

"Do you like to play instruments and sing?" Zeus asks and I nod a small smile gracing my face

"Can't wait to hear that," Poseidon says earning a glare from Death and a shrug from me

"So when can I go back?" I asked Death for the 100th time as we were in a room by ourselves and the Gods and Goddesses were discussing some things about me.

"Ugh," he groans before snapping his fingers and we were back in Mika's house

"Hehe," I grin before walking out of the bathroom with Death following and then stepping into Mika's room.

I put my hands on Death's chest trying to push him out, but he smirked down at me standing up without even faltering a little.

Before I was able to say anything, Death and I both ducked as a knife went flying over us.

"Mika!" I shout turning around to her quickly, hoping that there are no more weapons in her assault.

"Oh, I'm sorry," She says smacking my hand before knocking our fists, "Who's this?" She asks before looking at his face and jumping back

"I assume you know now," I tell her sheepishly

"Why would you bring Ha-"

"Death," we both interrupt

"-Death, inside my house?" She finishes, crossing her arms as she turns to me

"Well, he snapped me here," I tell her, "So why not let him inside?"

"So What's the deal?" She asks pointing between us.

Death and I look at each other, "Apparently we're mates, but no thank you," I say looking back at her

"When I came out here, it looked like you were having a moment," she says

"Well, you looked wrong," Death and I say at the same time

"They want us back now," Death says

"Okay, bro you know, I met Ariel today," I tell Mika as we hug, "but I guess, I'll see you whenever they decide to stop torturing me," I tell her

"Yeah, that's not ending anytime soon, but she can come to visit you in hell," Death says

I pout rolling my eyes, "I don't want to go to hell,"

"Of course you do," he says wrapping his arms around my shoulders before waving to Mika and snapping us back to the Ocean.

"Aw look at them," Hera gushes

I elbow Death while he's off guard and he immediately lets go of me leaning against the wall, "That was unnecessary,"

"You do not need to hug me," I reply, although I slightly miss the warmth he provided me

"Yeah, okay, let's pretend like you didn't like it," He replies with the rise of an eyebrow

"Bitch," I mumble looking away from him and at the Gods and Goddesses standing in front of us, "So I can back to my normal life and we can forget this happened? Good," I smile

"Yeah, no, we are going to figure out why you were sent to Earth," Zeus says

"And we are going to help you come out," Aphrodite adds

"Not Gay, so can I leave?" I ask

"What is gay?" Demeter asks as the Gods and Goddesses furrow their eyebrows

I turn to Death to ask if they are serious and he only nods, "Nothing, so how do I come out?" I ask them

"Death is going to be doing that, in hell," Hera says

"Oh Jesus," I mumble just as Death snaps us into the main room of some sort of castle, "This is where you live?" I ask him my eyes widening as I look around

"This is where I live and tho is also where you live now," he tells me, "You're probably going to want to sleep in my room,"

"Why?" I ask looking back at him

"My room is the only soundproof room and there's a lot of noise outside," he tells me

"I think I'll be fine," I tell him and he smirks and nods before showing me to my room.

He sent some gargoyles to get my clothes, from Earth.

I unpacked all of my clothes and soon noticed it was nighttime.

I take a shower before putting on a huge shirt lying on the queen-sized bed.

Death was right. I heard screaming for so long, keeping me awake for a while before I gave up.

I tried to drown out the sound.

A sigh leaves my lips as I get out of bed and open my door, going down the hall to Death's room and opening the door before sliding in and closing it quietly.

I quietly crawled into the bed beside him and surprisingly. Death, the God of the Underworld, cuddled with me.

Yup, you heard me right, he is cuddling with me.

A small smile grazes my lips as I close my eyes letting him pull me into him and soon fall asleep.

Oh, I can't wait to talk about this tomorrow.
