Chapter 2.1: Strange Light

Maxine awoke the next morning to the excitement of her colleagues, who reminded her to get dressed because the second day was about to begin. It felt so weird because the last thing she remembered was a scene in the sea bay. On this particular day, it was planned to be in the session hall to make the most of the remaining time. The winning group is safe in the activities, so they may make the most of their time in the pool.  The rest of their time at the event was made up for by inspiring performance, intense dialogue, and attendance. The majority of them were moved by letters from their families, which were delivered to them by their individual facilitators. Their teachers educated them to make their students feel loved until the very end. Maxine shifted her gaze to the lower right corner of the paper, in which something had become stuck. Perhaps it was written for a long time ago, as a dry leaf clung to its paper.   “Your mind isn’t the capacity

Chapter 2.2: Strange Light

As they continued to walk around the quiet corridor Maxine felt strong thumps in her chest. She was constantly followed by her partner Austin as she ran away from the event hall. They also felt tired and kept looking around. Austin wants to complain to her because he thinks it's strange. He's just waiting for the appropriate moment to ask if they're still doing the right thing. Maxine appears to be aware of what he is doing. She simply gave it a determined smile and began walking slowly. Maxine could hear the luminous stone is chirping once more. The chirping was like a natural noise that he often heard when he was still in the nursery. It sounded like a hum when mum wanted to put you to sleep while also making you happy. "What is that noise? Is it just me hearing those creepy hummings?" Austin asked in confusion. In response, Maxine hushed him. They ground to a standstill close to a door at the end of the passageway. Feeling nervous, they slowly opened the

Chapter 3: First Mystery

Austin and Maxine entered the portal while still holding the stone. They are both floating in the eternal blue room, realm, cosmos, or whatever it is. They were both perplexed inside the room they had entered, but they knew no one else was there or which corner of the wall didn't exist. They refused to let go of the rock and began to pull. "What happened? Where are we?!" Austin asked in frustration."Somewhere you shouldn't be. How come you woke up right away? Didn't you knock yourself out to sleep?" Maxine asked in return."I'm the one who does the asking. You're supposed to answer me! Are you under a spell or something?!" Austin exclaimed while pulling the stone against him."I decided to enter this place, so stop trying to take the stone from me!" Maxine yelled towards him. The guy still keeps his grip on the said stone. Soon another portal appeared in the opposite of their direction. The portal immediately absorbed t

Chapter 4.1: The Cube & Campus Executives

After a tiring day of training, Rogia grabbed her things from the back of the cab. All she wants at that moment is to have good rest. She had already reached the cube gateway, which served as a passageway to their allotted apartment. In this tunnel, it is not the room or floor number that should be pressed but the hora. The hora is a wristwatch-like device that is given to every pupil in this universe. Likewise, it is provided to recover your identity in this sector. The cube gateway, which happened to be the elevator of the realm, closed as it slid towards her dorm at the speed of light.   When the door opened, Rogia didn't hesitate to come out because she was so tired. The first thing she noticed was the open door from her roommate's cabin. She set her belongings on the nearby counter and had a look around as she reached for an apple. This time nothing was damaged as she expected due to her past experiences with the former ro

Chapter 4.2: The Cube & Campus Executives

A man sat on a bench with his leg crossed, visible from a distance. A woman in a mask approached its place, her lengthy hair swaying, waiting in the impending cab. The man sensed the presence as if he was expecting it. A royal blue envelope with a wax stamp on the opening was delivered to him by the woman. To take the envelope, the man extended his gloved hand. The woman spotted an engraved mark on its wrist, given that it was not wearing the hora. "It's unsafe for you walking around without the hora. You should've known.", said the woman. Slowly, the man opens the envelope, revealing the letter, which was written on black paper. The man flashes an unsettling smirk as soon as it sees what's inside.   On the other hand, Maxine was reminded of someone's existence. Someone she had no intention of bringing into this realm. But it also bothers her that that person might be destined too to attend this university. He might be a hunter as well, but he has no ide

All of the participants constantly analyze all areas. They found a light-dimmed forest with sand-covered terrain in front of them. Chapter 5.2: Rookie Survival Test

Under the moonlight, there she was, Maxine who is looking for the ingredients of their key. She began to think of unpleasant things since she was exhausted. In addition to the weight of her burdens, she is carrying a basket on her left shoulder which where would the task items goes. She also considered helping Rogia to keep on telling her stories for the rest of their lives. Because of what she had contributed to the traps for their base, her knowledge of the lady's dilemma prevailed. She didn't even notice she was approaching the other bunkhouse nearby until it was almost near. She wasn't surprised, either, because she knew their trail camera was nearby, and she assumed they were waiting for an opportunity to catch one of their opponents. Right now, all she wants to do is find the ingredients. She was likewise unconcerned about the threat that the next twelve hours would pose. She had the impression that someone was following her while she thought about it.

Chapter 6: Match Found

They decided to join the local celebration at Kinsheart, Donsha's pub, to celebrate their rookie test victory. A diverse group of campus hunters congregated in the vicinity from rookies to Minors. Due to the difficulty of their missions, only a small number of Fullyfledge students are visible. Maxine's mood was lifted since she was experiencing a sense of déjà vu as a result of what was going on around her. Before she could access this realm, she had to leave a party that she had not expected to be the last glimpse of her former world. She also has no notion how her family is handling things in there. Alscheya, her cousin, may have been living happily with her family. Even before it all happened, she had faith in the kid's ability to protect their family. "Too tired from the last match?" Rogia whispered in her ear. Maxine found her senses back from the deep thoughts she had. She let out a sigh and nod to let her know that she's not in the mood. "How can these
