[ Madeline Parker ]
“I can’t believe, my little angel is getting married today. It still feels like yesterday when we first held her in our arms.” I heard my Mom’s emotional words.
I stared at my reflection in the mirror, I was dressed in my wedding gown with a diamond tiara and pearl embedded veil. I, myself can’t believe, at the age of eighteen I am getting married to the boy who stole my heart when I first saw him in the 9th grade, it’s like a fairy tale. I fell for my best friend and our parents fixed our marriage because they think we’re perfect for each other.
“Sweetie, it’s the time.” Dad’s steady voice ripped me out of my memory lane. I took a deep breath and turned to face my parents. They had tears in their eyes. I am their only child, they brought me up like a princess and always fulfilled my wish, even if it was expressing my wish to marry Logan, my best friend.
“I’ll miss you, guys.” I sobbed.
“Maddie, don’t be stupid, it’s the matter of only two weeks. You’re going to live with us after your honeymoon because your husband will be gone abroad to finish his Masters and you have to study further. If it wasn’t for Logan’s dying grandfather, we would have waited for you two to grow up mature and then marry.” Mom said.
I thought about their words, they’re right. As much as I am thrilled with the thought of marrying my first and true love Logan Wesley, the separation after honeymoon pains me.
“Come, baby girl, let’s go.” Dad linked my arm with his and we proceeded to walk down the aisle.
Our wedding was all about people would talk for months which is about to join two powerful families. We are the only heirs of our parents. I feel giddy. There’s something about the line ‘till death do us apart’, I find it really romantic with deep meaning, a commitment of lifetime.
Hopefully, I managed to find my soulmate. Logan is everything a girl could ask for. He’s caring, loving, sensitive and compassionate. He’s overprotective of me which I find the most romantic side of him because I am all his.
The musicians started playing the traditional tunes as soon as I crossed the threshold of the church. My eyes found my love, my groom standing at the altar, clad in a black suit. His face turned in my direction and time seemed to stop in that moment. His alluring green eyes shone how excited he was to marry me. his coral, thin lips curved upward when I reached to him and my father placed my hand over his. Sparks shot through my cells.
The moment has come when we’ll be united forever.
The wedding process went in a blur because I was lost in my groom’s eyes. We exchanged our rings and said our ‘I do’s’.
“By the power vested upon me, I now pronounce you husband and wife. You may kiss the bride.” The priest announced.
He wasted no time in pulling me closer by my waist and claimed my lips. The kiss was passionate and I felt my legs weak. We haven’t kiss before, it was my first kiss, taken by my husband.
The hall echoed with claps and he pulled away. There was a smile on his face.
“Are you happy, Maddie?” He asked me, for the first time in last thirty minutes, he spoke.
“I wasn’t this happier in my eighteen years of existence, Logan. I am finally Mrs. Wesley.” I smiled and hugged him.
After the wedding reception, we left for our honeymoon. Our parents planned to send us to Switzerland for two long weeks because they thought it’s a paradise for newlyweds. I didn’t find any issue as long as my love is with me, I’d find paradise in Sahara desert.
I was waiting for Logan in the balcony of our hotel suite. The weather was cold. After the wait of almost an hour, I felt two arms wrapped around my waist from behind and my husband’s face buried in the crook of my neck. I shivered by this intimacy.
“What took you this long?’ I asked him somehow controlling my erratic breath.
“I got a call from the university. They want me to take admission by next week.” He said and it forced me to turn swiftly so I could face him.
“You’re joking, right?” I narrowed my eyes because he always finds a way to tease me.
“No, Maddie. I am sorry, I have to tell you this on our wedding night. But they aren’t giving me any relaxation.” He said in a serious tone means he wasn’t teasing me.
Tears welled up in my eyes. The ache in my heart was unbearable. I have to send him to another country in a week.
“Don’t cry, Madeline. We’re married now. No one can separate us, these five years will pass in a blink and I’ll be back to you. Let’s make most of these seven days.” He wiped my tears and cupped my face.
“It’s easier for you to say but hard for me to think. Five years are a lot but I can wait for you forever if you promise to come back to me.” I said in a whisper as my voice ditched me.
He brushed his lips on my nose and joined our foreheads, “I promise you, Madeline that I am only yours. You’ll be the one whom I see as my life partner, my soulmate. We can meet during the summer vacations or Christmas holidays.” He said to make me feel good.
“I love you, Logan. I’ll love you till my last breath.” I confessed my love for the millionth time.
“I know, Maddie. I am going to show you my love in action.” He said and before I could understand anything, he scooped me in his arms and led us inside the master bedroom. My eyes widened when I saw the romantic set up.
He put me down on the floor.
“When did you do it?” I looked around with surprise.
“When you were busy gazing at the sky. I want to make this night unforgettable for us.” He said inching close to me and my heartbeats raced.
He grabbed me by waist and pulled me for a toe curling kiss. I was on fire. I knew, he wanted me as well.
He dominated the kiss while his hands slowly began to loosen the lace of my night gown, it pooled down on my feet. He broke the kiss and raked his dark eyes on my body. I tried to cover myself since no boy has ever seen me just in my underwear.
“Red is your colour but I want to see more of you, Madeline.” He smirked and roamed his fingers tips on my bare waist. My legs were becoming jelly by his magical touches, they left trails of fire on my cold skin. He picked me up by and laid me down on the soft mattress, our eyes were locked. I felt I could see through his soul.
“Do I have the permission?” He asked me softly while his fingers slid the straps of my bra down my shoulder.
“Yes.” I weakly shook my head as my brain froze due to this new experience.
He smiled and in a blink, he removed my bra, leaving me just in my panties. His pupils darkened as he stared at my bare breasts. I tried to hide my bosoms with my arms but he pinned them above my head.
“Don’t hide yourself from me, Maddie.” He said in a smooth voice and I stilled.
He buried his face in the valley of my breast while his hands fondled my breasts. It was a new experience for me. I felt good as my core clenched. I pressed my legs together to supress the urge of being touched down there.
“Let it go, Maddie.” He said and took of one my nipples in his mouth and gave it a hard suck.
“Oh, Logan. What are you doing to me.” I moaned.
“I am making love to you, Mrs. Wesley.” He smirked and tore my panties.
I gasped when he parted my thighs and stroked my sensitive core with his fingers.
“Lo…Lo..gan.” I moaned closing my eyes. He was giving me a tour of the heaven. I was slowly relaxing to his touches.
He entered a finger in my tight core, it felt uncomfortable at first but as he began to stroke me, pleasure built inside me. My core clenched and I felt a strong urge to release the tension in my lower region.
“Don’t let it go because my cock will make you have your first orgasm, Maddie.” He said in a commanding voice and I dared to open my eyes. My eyes widened when I saw him, all naked, he sat between my legs with his hard member.
He hovered above me and claimed my lips. I felt his tip rubbing on my entrance before he eased his way inside me. uncomfortable pleasure shot through my cells. He claimed my treasured virginity.
“Oh, baby you’re very tight.” He groaned and slowly began to pound inside me. I locked my legs around his hips.
I didn’t remember when he left me. we made love for most of the hours in that unforgettable night. I surrendered my body and my heart to my true love Logan Wesley.
Those seven days went by in a blink. I treasured most of the memories we made together and the moment finally came when I had to say my goodbye to him. We were sitting in the waiting lounge of the airport, ready to fly back home. I was silent because my heart was heavy.
He took my hand and gave it a gentle squeeze, “Madeline, I am not leaving you forever but I need you to promise me something before we go home. We won’t get time to talk.” He said in a serious tone.
I lifted my face to glance at him.
“We got married in a very private ceremony because we’re very young, you’re eighteen and I am just twenty-two we belong to very prestigious family which might effect our careers. Our families kept it a secret for our sake. So, I request you to keep it a secret as well until we stand on our feet, I promise you, we’ll register our marriage on the day we’ll finish our studies. I love you, Madeline Parker, I am only yours.” He said, his words were heart shattering but I trusted him because for the first time he vocalized his feelings for me.
Six years later…[ Madeline Parker ]“It’s now or never, Maddie.” I chanted this mantra to myself as I stood before the tall skyscraper, the headquarters of the Wesley Groups. My palms were sweaty as I anticipated everyone’s reaction, especially Logan’s. I haven’t seen my husband in long eight years and only I know how excruciating these eight years had been for me. I kept my promise and gave him time to study, root in his career and thrive but finally my patience ran thin. I can’t wait any longer to see my husband and be with him.Today’s day is more special because today, it’s our sixth wedding anniversary and I’ll surprise him with my visit.Taking a deep breath, I made my way inside the magnificent building. Everything screams wealth and power. The high class employees in expensive suits rushed in every direction. I rarely visits my father’s office since I opted a doctor’s career. I want to focus on my dream career first before I step into business.I walked to the reception and c
[ Madeline Parker ]When I left Logan’s office building, I must have blacked out since I don’t remember how I drove back to my house. My mind couldn’t register, I still believed that it was just a horrible dream and it’d end when I wake up. My tears couldn’t stop. The fate has played the cruelest joke with me.Somehow, I made it back to my apartment and locked myself in my room. No one could see my breakdown. I haven’t allowed anyone to see my weak side. I have been living in some sort of trance where only my dreams exist. How could I be this stupid to not see the things clearly? The truth has always been in front of me. Logan abandoned me the day he asked me not to disclose our relationship to anyone. His parents slowly drew themselves apart from us and we lost contact. Logan made excuses not to respond to my calls, I rarely received mails from him. I highly doubt if he sent them by himself or hired someone to keep me fooling around.I didn’t realise how much time passed, it was when
[ Madeline Parker ]“Mom, Dad, do not sympathize with me because you are the one who gave me the most painful betrayal. How could you hide this from me all these years when I used to share my plans with you and expressed my love for Logan? You never felt bad for me?” I gave them an accusing glare. My anger and hurt were coming on the surface.“Maddie, we’re sorry for keeping you in the dark for six years but trust me, when we saw you happily living with your son, we couldn’t muster up the courage to tell you about Logan’s marriage. We thought with time, your love will slowly fade away and you’d find someone who actually loves you.” Dad said.I scoffed looking away, “If you have really cared for me, Dad then you would have told me the truth a long time ago.” I said.“Honey, I think we should tell her the reason of her marriage with Logan. We have hidden the truth from her for a really long time. I can’t lose my daughter. Madeline and Chris are our everything.” Mom said to Dad in a weak
[ Madeline Parker ]I’d always advise girls never to dream for a prince charming who’d swipe them off their feet. Dreams always ended up shattered leaving us hopeless and rejected.I am tired of having being told what to do and how to live my life. I paid the price for following my heart rather than my brain.“Come on, girl. You haven’t touched your drink. I didn’t bring you to sulk over that scoundrel.” Ava shouted near my ear as loud, pulsating music blared through the speakers.I looked down, she was holding a tray of vodka shots. I was hesitated at first since I don’t drink much but I badly needed it to let go off my pain even if it’s temporary. I gulped them down my throat one by one while Ava hooted for me.“Woah! That’s like my girl.” She shouted. She was a bit tipsy so I decided not to drink more as I’d have to drive us back to home.“Are you looking at that guy? He looks hot and I think he is looking at me.” She pointed her finger on a man on the dance floor.“Not again, Ava.
[ Brandon Wesley ]My office is on the 45th floor of the Wesley Groups, it has glass on front side from where I could see half of the city. I usually spend my time here watching people living their hectic lives when I am not doing some work but today is different. I am not enjoying anything, not even the neat scotch I tried to swallow.I didn’t imagine in my wildest dreams that Madeline would appear at my office at the worst timing. For six years, I have watched her from far, to ensure she is happy and moved on in her life. As we promised each other before parting our ways that we’ll advance in our careers and she achieved what she had always planned.I felt mixed emotions when we came face to face for the first time. She has grown into a beautiful young woman. She is the only friend I ever had, the only person who knew the real me, who stood by my side in my thick and thins as my true friend. I’d not lie, once I was attracted to her and when my grandpa expressed his wish that he want
[ Brandon Wesley ] My father lowered his reading glasses and gave me a deadpanned look, “Calm down, Brandon. I told you to focus on your present and in extending our empire. There’s no need to dig in the past which doesn’t matter anymore.” He said.“She visited me today.” I told him.He looked at me with a bored expression, “I know, son. Your wife told us. You are a married man now, Brandon. Whatever happened in the past, it was a horrendous mistake made by your late grandfather. Anyways, she’ll not bother you again. I have warned her father and he’d not dare to breach our deal.” He said with surety.“Dad, this is my life. How can you take decisions for me?” I scoffed, “She came to visit me when her patience broke, I kept lying to her all these years. You know how pathetic I feel? Her reaction didn’t give away any signs of her involvement in the deal you and her father made.” I said.“Does it really matter now?” He gave me a dead look which means he wants to end this discussion.“Yes
[ Madeline Parker ]I stared at the man who broke my heart, the pain flooding back at me with more force. Seeing him with my own eyes after receiving a cruel betrayal from him, ripped my fragile emotions in shreds. Everything kicked me back in the guts, the horrible scene when I saw him with another woman, the bitter revelation and his cold response.“Dr Parker, I am sorry that the hospital called you for an emergency. I was having cramps and got panicked.” Melissa, my patient’s voice broke the chain of my thoughts and I immediately tore my gaze from him to my patient. She was my priority in the moment. So, ignoring his existence like a plague, I rushed to her.“Please, lay down. I’ll check the position of the baby. It’s normal to have cramps at this stage but I want to be sure before I perform more tests. Don’t worry, just relax or it may get worse with increased levels of hormones flow in your body.” I eased her.“I think I am not ready yet to welcome this baby. My brother isn’t in
