~ MILA ~

I looked into the mirror smiling at my reflection. The red lacy lingerie dress molded my body like a second skin, showing off my curves.

It was a short dress with a g-string that stopped under my ass, it created a very nice view of my cleavage. I was satisfied with the result, I couldn’t wait to see Cooper’s reaction.

I and Cooper had been married for four years. The first two years of our marriage had been bliss but I noticed the change from the third year, Cooper was always so busy lately.

Cooper had asked me to quit my job after the second year promising to take care of me and saying he didn’t want me stressing myself anymore. I had agreed, I couldn’t say no to him, he was my everything and I wanted to make him happy.

I just missed him so much now, he rarely even touched me. I missed sex, I bit my lips in anticipation as memories flooded into my mind…kissing, fondling, licking…. I couldn’t wait.

Stepping out into the living room, I smiled as I took in the setup I had spent time on. A romantic dinner with my husband.

The parlor was illuminated with red lights creating a romantic setting, I had bought them today. The candles on the dining table flickered highlighting the roses on the table, his favorite red wine, the beautiful plates, and the wine glasses I had personally purchased.

The glass candy bowls contained fruits and two of his favorite meals all covered with lids. Red roses lay on the floor in a heart shape by the side and around the table. John Legend’s, All of Me played softly in the background.

Checking the time, I frowned, Cooper had been coming home very late for a while now. This job was really draining him, it was concerning.

After twenty minutes, I heard the sound of his car in front of the house. I quickly scrambled for the lipgloss and coated my lips one more time nervously then adjusted my hair. I felt sexy, it had been a long time since I dressed like this because Cooper insisted he loved me in big clothes. We had lost the spark in my marriage but I was determined to get it back.

The bell rang and I quickly opened the door.

“Hello baby”, I said seductively as I took him in. He looked as handsome as ever, his lean body and hot packs encased in a suit I just wanted to peel off immediately. His dark blonde hair looked messy and I couldn’t wait to run my fingers through while he fucked me, his intense green eyes that always made me hot all over…

I stopped realizing his eyes held nothing but irritation and disgust in them, he walked inside quietly.

Wasn’t he turned on? I could barely breathe properly just seeing him, I needed him.

“What the hell are you putting on Mila and what’s this bullshit”.

His words hurt me but I thought…maybe someone pissed him off at work.

I walked up to him swaying my hips and attempted to kiss him only for him to push me to the couch.

“I had a long day Mila, I’m tired and not in the mood for this, you look like a hippo in that, don’t wear it again”, he barked moving to the dining table and sitting down.

A lone tear fell from my eye, I wasn’t expecting…this. His words hurt so much, a hippopotamus?

I tried to cover myself feeling so insecure, the tears fell freely now and I didn’t even bother to hold them in.

Cooper loved my body, he said he loved how thick I was, wasn’t I attractive to him anymore? He had even stopped me from going to the gym saying he didn’t want me to lose an ounce of thickness.

What changed?

Shame filled me.

“You didn’t need to do all this, it’s ridiculous”, he said with his mouth filled with the creamy pasta I had prepared.

He didn’t even wait for me.

“Put on the white lights, what were you even thinking?”

I got up and put on the lights brightening up the living room, my efforts were a waste.

“Don’t start with those tears, I’m sorry if I was harsh, honestly you look horrible in that. I’m tired and I just want to sleep”, he said pouring himself some wine.

“I’ve got some work I couldn’t finish up today, finish it up okay? They are in my leather briefcase, everything in it. Thanks, the food was great”, he finished. Gulping the wine, he stood up from the chair and headed to bed leaving me there with tears streaming down my eyes and a handful of work.

*******

I wiped my clammy hands with my handkerchief sighing as I finished up the paperwork. Grabbing my phone, I wasn’t surprised that the time was 3am already.

Cooper’s job had a lot of paperwork and I was always cramped up most nights finishing it up.

It was always a lot making me wonder just how much work Cooper had to do in a day. I suddenly felt bad, I had been inconsiderate thinking about just my needs. Cooper worked hard every day and he was not a machine, he would be tired.

He had promised to take care of me after asking me to quit my job. He was working so hard to fulfill his promise. I needed to get a new job to lessen the pressure on him. I didn’t know why he thought me being a housewife was a good idea. He had asked me to leave my better-paying job and now he was overworking himself.

I was tired of staying at home. Cooper had shut down all my complaints and requests to start working again. I was bored, always stuck doing the same boring routine every day. I didn’t even go to the gym anymore.

I would bring it up tomorrow, he would have to agree this time. I put back the papers into his briefcase and walked quietly into the room.

Cooper’s loud snores filled the room, I changed out of the lingerie and put on my big nightgown then slipped into bed beside him.

I stared at him, my heart twisting at how hard he had been overexerting himself. I will get a job tomorrow, he would just have to accept it.

Cooper didn’t care as always even when I had told him about my new job. He didn’t care that I would be out at night, he wasn’t interested in knowing the details of the job, he just replied with an, “okay”. Her skin was flushed and she was smirking at me. He loved her dress but I looked like a hippo in mine. The song playing in the background made it worse. “You bastard, why?? You are cheating on me?? You fuck another woman in our matrimonial bed”, I screamed as I tightened my grip on his shirt, the neckline was tight around his neck and my body was wracked with sobs. He grabbed my hands forcefully removing them from his shirt and pushed me to the floor. He grabbed his tie and one of his shirts. I struggled but it was pointless. “Look at me
