Chapter 27

"Thank you for going out with me," Lily said shyly as she sat beside Miguel on a long bench. It was a beautiful cozy night. The gentle breeze slowly swayed Lily's hair as she stared into space. The atmosphere felt awkward. The bold Lily that had seduced Miguel earlier, was seated beside him now, being all shy and jelly. Was she not the same person?

"So..." Miguel began, but paused and just shrugged as he had nothing to say. He couldn't come up with anything. The atmosphere wasn't favorable. His heart kept thumping hard against his chest.

"Wait... I think it's going to snow today," Lily gasped sharply as she stared at the screen of her phone with her eyes widened in shock, and Miguel looked at her.

"I think we should go home before it starts then. It's going to get cold out here and I didn't bring a coat outside," Miguel suggested, but Lily quickly shook her head.

"Let's watch the snow together," She demanded, and he gave her a long blank stare before he turned his face away
