To Get Out Of His Sight

Dina's POV

“Why do you address Lykoz as Alpha? And what does that mean?” I asked after snapping out of my thoughts.

The lady studied my facial expression for a while, trying to figure out what is unknown to me. “You did not smell like a human girl,” she began, piling up my confusion. “Did you lose your memories?” The lady asked suddenly.

“You are just confusing me,” I lamented.

What I need right now is to know where I am and how to get out of here. I can't wait to meet my mother.

I know she would be down and helpless!

“Okay,” the lady said, her voice dropping. “This is the werewolf realm. Only the werewolves are welcomed here, any other creatures who cross over to our realm would be deemed as a spy and enslaved,” she emphasized, sounding like everything was real. “And an Alpha is just like the president of your country. He is the ruler of our pack and the Alpha King of all werewolves.”

Even though I did not want to believe her, she sounded too real to be false. “Okay, if Lyloz is the pre… leader here,” I paused briefly. “Does that mean he brought me here to enslave me?”

“If he brought you from the human realm, then I am sorry, that is what it is,” the lady replied warmly. “Oh… you have to go get prepared for our Alpha. I overheard one of the Gammas saying our Alpha would visit your room tonight.”

My eyes blinked at how everything was unfolding quickly. Starting from being auctioned off, bought, brought here and to the probability of me dying.

Even though I am going to die here, I want to see my mother for one last time. I want to be in her arms like a baby and whine.

“Your bed is already prepared,” the maid said before leaving.

Left in the dressing room which contained a variety of pretty dresses, yet explosive, I slowly began to pick the one I am going to be comfortable in.

I picked a short blue gown before putting it on. I returned to the bedroom, my eyes scanning everywhere, hoping he wouldn't come here.

My lips curled into a faint smile as the thought of escaping this room came to my mind.

I stood up before walking out of the room, the guards stopping me. “Where are you going?” The guard questioned.

“Ly… Alpha Lykoz requested my presence,” I lied, hoping they wouldn't catch on to my obvious lie.

“You can go.”

I hurried away as quickly as my legs could carry, not caring about where exactly I was going. All I want is to get out of Lykoz's sight tonight.

I am not ready to die! I can't leave my mother. Not after she was abandoned by my father!

LYKOZ POV:

My lips curled into a dark smile as I watched the red moonlight glow, sitting beautifully in the blue sky.

“My Alpha, are you sure about this decision of yours?” Zach asked, sounding nervous.

Even though he didn't show it, I knew he cared about me.

“I am trying so hard not to give in to Jule's excitement and urge to have Dina pinned on the bed and banging on her roughly,” I revealed, lust and desire evident in my voice.

“I pray in the name of the moon goddess, this night won't be a night of pain for you,” Zach said, reminding me of the moment I had spent crying over the she-wolves I had murdered overnight.

The feeling of guilt, the metallic smell of blood, the echoes of their cries… it is something I can never forget no matter how hard I try.

“The moon goddess? She has only done more harm to me!” I sneered before leaving for Dina's room.

Since I already ordered my personal maid to take care of her, I expect her to be waiting for me, ready to take every bit of me—every bit of my punishment.

I pushed the door open before entering, my eagerness was replaced with rage. I stormed out to the guards watching her room.

“Where is she?” I growled, my anger reaching its peak.

“She said you instructed for her presence,” my most trusted guard replied, his gaze lowered.

I balled my fist, trying to sense her but couldn't. The connection I felt yesterday was no longer there.

There is no way I can lose connection with my mate! It can only happen if one of us dies.

“Where is my mate?” I asked my maid loudly, making everyone gasp.

“She… is…—”

“That isn't the question I asked!” I interrupted her.

“I left her in her room before returning to my duty post,” she revealed, making both I and my wolf anxious.

I walked out, searching every corner for her. Even after searching the whole house, I couldn't find her. There were no traces of Dina!

“Why can't I sense our mate? Is she in trouble or dead?” Jules asked, almost going crazy.

It was hard to control Jules, but I managed to. “I am going to look for her and use her to satisfy my sexual urge. I would rather have her dead than have any member of my pack die by my own hands.”

“My Alpha, I just heard what happened… is she still yet to be found?” Zach's voice echoed, making me turn towards his direction.

“Thank the goddess you are here,” I paused. “Order all the Gammas and guards in the palace to find Dina! She must be brought to me unscathed!”

“But most of them are in the woods celebrating—”

“Now, Beta Zach!” I growled, seriousness reflected in my eyes.
