Jennifer noticed that Raymond had turned his head in her direction. He questioned her by inquiring, "Don't you think we might be going in the wrong direction?"

She came to the conclusion that this man was playing a hoax on her. He did not lose his memory of the route. He pretended not to know where he was going, although in reality, he was actually quite knowledgeable about the situation.
