I suddenly felt a sense of satisfaction.

Then, the girl's mother looked around. When she found that no one was around, she picked up the little girl and ran.

As she drew her distance away from me, I heard her telling the girl not to do such dangerous things again.

She never gave me a single glance.

I lay on the ground, feeling the life drain away from my body.

Several people passed by. They shook their heads and sighed. I heard the clicking of camera shutters, but no one called the ambulance.

My blood drained dry. My body became cold.

Finally, Yvette Skye was no more.

I died all alone at the corner of the street. No one cared.

My corpse was not a pretty sight. My eyes were wide, unseeing, and there was a large hole in my stomach. My legs were twisted together. One of my arms was flung by the side of the road.

My legs were useless now.

I was ugly. No wonder the little girl cried.

Floating in the air, I stared at my mutilated corpse.
