CHAPTER 15

As soon as we got to the border we saw wolves on alert but no actual fighting.

“What the hell? I thought we were under attack.” I said.

“I know. There’s a female vampire. She’s taunting us. She’s jumping over the border and then back again. We can’t actually get a hold of her.” Arlo said.

“They’re playing games with us.” Dad said.

“They want us to know that they are there, but they don’t want to engage.” Arlo said. I looked at Lucas and he looked really confused because he couldn’t mind link with any of us and he didn’t know what was going on. So, he just had to take his lead from me.

I looked ahead and a female vampire with flaming red hair came into view, but was standing far enough away so we couldn’t attack her.
