Chapter Sixty-four
Athena was gone. She had made it safely away without anyone tailing her. She had done everything that she had been instructed to the letter. Bridgette sighed as a mopey Marco made his way down the stairs. It was early yet and Bridgette was getting breakfast ready for her two rambunctious wards. She smiled tenderly at him as he climbed on the chair and rubbed his eyes sleepily.
“You okay?” She asked, coming to sit next to him with a cup of coffee.
“I don’t know… It’s not like she was my best friend…” He answered with a shrug.
“I get it.” Bridgette said not needing to ask further questions. “Everything that was familiar in your life is now gone. That’s always hard to take, especially when you’re not ready for it to disappear.”

She refilled her cup and made her way to her office, leaving both kids staring after her. Bridgette knew that she would have to explain the situation and familiarize him with what was going on. Sorry for the weird tripple chapter update and the late fix,, my lovelies. Everything has been fixed and I will be trying to update as much as possible. I have a few twists and surprises for everyone so try to stick with me throughout the series. The book will be ending soon but a second book will be coming out soon. After their conversation in Bridgette's office they gathered in the kitchen. Bridgette set the kids up with a snack as they continued their conversation. Instead of keeping the kids in such a clinical environment she wanted them to relax. The information she would be presenting them would be too much to take in if they were tense. Bridgette sighed and sat down at the table with the kids followed by Kane and Dex. She sighed and leaned back into her seat. She sipped on her cup of coffee as she eyed everyone over the rim. Hello my lovelies, Sorry for the late and incosistent updates. I had a problem with the laptop I am using and kept running into problems updating using my phone. That being said, I will have quite a few chapters coming soon since I was still writing by hand this whole time. A few things to note before the next chapters come out. The book will be ending soon. I understand that I still have a whole bunch of unanswered questions and plot points to go through but remember this is a series. They will be answered in due time. I know some of you will not be satisfied with the ending but there is whole lot to go over and this is a story line I have been working on for years.
