Lucians POVAlthough, all that Iago had just said was true, I still had to do it. I had to meet the witches. I had no other choice. "I'm going to do it either way, Iago," I said to Iago who just stood, staring at me with disbelief and surprise. "Aren't you going to inform the elders first?" he asked and I shook my head. "I can't tell them," I said. "You know what they will say if I should tell them that I am going with the witches." Iago nodded with a smile as he raised his hands in the air. "Whatever decision it is that you make, my hands are out of it," he said before turning to leave. "Iago," I called out, causing him to stop on his tracks. He turned to face me and asked, "what, alpha Lucian?""Do not make mention of this to the elders until I do," I said and he nodded. "Sure," he replied before walking away. I sighed as scratched my head, scattering my wavy hair. Although, he was correct with what he said, I still had rule over all of my choices. I as the alpha had the righ
Iagos POVI couldn't believe Lucian when he told me he wanted to contact the witches for help. Something that was against the pack law. He had disobeyed almost all pack laws since he was the alpha. Banishing Alana and making her a rogue, getting together with an omega that was not his mate, bringing rogues into the pack, trying to bring back Alana who was now a rogue and now trying to ask the witches for help. I tried to dissuade him from going to the witches but he was bent on following what he had in mind. I didn't have any say over what he felt was right so I just let him be. But his actions still bothered me. I planned on telling the elders but he warned me not to so I decided to keep shut. This whole war of a thing and his quest to brigback Alana was now getting into Lucians head. Sometimes, I wish I was in Calebs shoes. Although, the fact that he had gone against the vows he took as the gamma of our pack and gone to our rival pack was one that I was finding it hard to believe,
Calebs POV"Um, Titan," I said and he turned to face me. "I need to tell you something." He looked at me with his brow raised and asked, "what is it?""I actually have something to confess about," I said, expecting Titan to flip and ask me to say what it was but he remained calm. "I'm listening," he said in a calm tone and I told him everything. Titan didn't react badly but was surprisingly calm throughout the whole time. When I was done with my story, he sighed and said, "have you told Alana?" I shook my head and replied, "no. I planned on telling her first and not you until you walked in." Titan nodded and said, "I want you not to tell her." He wanted me not to tell her? Why? Confused, I asked, "why don't you want me to tell her?""We have a war coming up," Titan began to explain. "You telling her that Lucian not only knows about her location but also knows that she is pregnant will really break her down. She wouldn't really blame you much cause you were being controlled by yo
Lucians POVShe then raised her hands in the air and at once, all the witches stopped their laughter. The way everything went in sync here really scared me. "I like the irony of your statement, Lucian," Queen Zelda said as she twirled her hands, causing the bottle and the wine to disappear and a napkin to appear out of thin air. She grabbed the napkin and wiped her mouth as she said, "I wonder why you would come to me for such considering how powerful and almighty you werewolves are. But still, even though you lot banished us witches, you still come to us for help to show that we are at the top of the food chain in the supernatural world." I knew exactly what she was trying to do. She was trying to make me feel guilty for coming here so she could use me as a pawn to do whatever she wanted. What she didn't know was that she was a pawn in my own game. "Me coming to you for help is also going to be of gain to you, Queen Nelda," I said and she leaned forward on her throne. She smiled a
Titans POVCaleb had to lie to Alana because so she would not get too emotional from hearing the truth. I had know of different she-werewolves who had lost their babies from stress. I would have had an elder brother too if not from the stress that my mother went through before she birthed him. When he was born, the pack doctor pronounced him dead. He explained that it was from the stress that my mom went through when she was pregnant of him. After much tears, she became pregnant again but this time, my father was careful. He did not let her perform any work or enhance in any chore. Because of his carefulness my dad had with my mom, there new baby was born strong. He grew up to become the alpha of the Silver Stones pack. I could never forget that story my father told; the story of my birth. I took that story as a lesson and that was why I told Caleb not to tell Alana anything. If she knew that Lucian was now after her, she would get stressed and start thinking much and that could aff
Lucians POVI was over flooded with anger as thoughts of Iago betraying me flashed through my mind. I was very mad. Iago was betraying me? If there was someone who would know about this, it would be Caleb. I ran to the dungeon where he was chained, with rage brewing inside me. If it meant beating him to death, I was going to do it to get the truth from him. I wanted to know who else was working alongside him and betraying me. I ran into the dungeon and paused as I saw the guards outside, laying on the grass, groaning. They saw me coming and they immediately tried standing up. One of them stumbled towards me, groaning with every step that he took. "I.... I'm sorry, Alpha Lucian," he muttered as he held my foot. What was he sorry about? I looked inside the dungeon and saw that the gate of the cell that they had put Thorne in was wide open. Suddenly, it all came to me. I rushed to the gates and looked inside. There was blood everyone and the chain that we had used to chain Caleb up
Lucians POVMy claws went up Iagos abdomen and he let out a loud scream. He threw punches at me but I felt nothing. The anger inside of me had numbed the pain from his punches. He managed to get his foot in the air and he used all of his strength to kick me to the chest. I fell to the ground back first and rolled. I stood back up immediately and with a loud growl, rushed back at Iago. Iago, whose abdomen wound had now started to close up, ran towards me with a loud growl as he shot out his claws. He jumped into the air and was coming straight at me with his claws pointed at my face. I immediately moved out of the way, dodging his strike as he landed on the grass. He didn't wait any second as he landed before he rushed at me again. He swiped his claws at me and I dodged all of his strikes, all except one which landed on my face, leaving a claw mark that ran from the left side of my face, down to the right hand side of my mouth. His strike had wounded my left eye lid, disallowing me
Iagos POVI knew I could not hand myself over to Titan and his pack as that would be betraying my pack and the oath that I took when I became beta and I knew that Lucian would kill me if he should get hold of me. What I had to do now was to try and convince Lucian that I was on his side because I knew that what was going on in his mind was that I had betrayed him by letting Caleb escape and then joining Titans pack. I didn't know how to do it but I knew that my answers would be at Titans pack compound and that was directly where I headed to. I could feel the ground shake as Lucians feet connected with it, almost throwing me off balance. I stumbled a few times but continued my run to the pack compound gate. My right arm had already healed up but my left hand still dangled as I ran. I could feel pain radiating through my body from the arm as the bone began to rejoin each other, putting my hand back in place. I made a mistake of turning back and my legs almost grew weak as I saw Lucia
