Caroline, Alexander's secretary, knocked lightly on the door of his spacious corner office before entering. She glanced around the office, but when she didn’t see him on his desk, she turned in the direction of the French window.

And she found him standing by the French window, staring out at the bustling cityscape below. The sun had begun to set, casting a warm, golden ray across the office.

"Excuse me, Mr. Alexander," Caroline spoke softly, "I noticed it's getting late, and I wanted to check if you're planning to leave soon. It's almost time to clock out."

Alexander turned his attention from the window, his expression cold as it had been all afternoon. "Thank you, Caroline. I appreciate your concern. I'll be wrapping up here shortly."

Caroline nodded, ready to leave, but Alexander's voice stopped her before she could turn away. "Actually, Caroline, before you go, I have a task I'd like you to look into." His voice were icy.
