Alice
Damon and I step back inside the house, seeing the teenagers from earlier have left as they close the door behind them, their voices getting further away. Even Sam is nowhere to be found, it appears as if they have all left when we were enjoying our steaks.
"I want to show you around," He says, glancing at me.
"Around town?"
"Around the neighbourhood."
We both walk out of the house and I am immediately amazed by the view. I never knew a place like this ever existed in Portland, it is as if we are nowhere near the city. Everything appears different and I know that I am out of my comfort zone. Many people are walking around as they glance towards our direction, somehow talking as they do.
Alice Damon and I are staring at the cabin, somehow out of words. After a stroll around the ‘neighbourhood’ which was intentionally for me to learn more about his pack, things just started to take an unexpected turn. There was no awkward conversation between us but the intensity and the butterflies that were emerging in my stomach, it couldn’t get any worse. So, here we are—in his car, staring at the front door of the cabin where my friends are inside. Don’t forget to mention that Juliet’s car is parked behind us with one of the pack members, probably waiting in boredom. Damon asked for his help to drive the car back to the cabin because he wanted me to be in the car with him, so we could talk more but we haven’t been saying a word. &n
Alice "Hey,sweetheart. Good morning," Mama says as I walk down the stairs, greeted by her perfect smile. She has a cup of peppermint tea in her hand, her all-time favourite. My mama's a bit different than regular women which would seriously depend on a cup of coffee or more precisely, caffeine. Almost every other women I've met have this addiction towards coffee and how they want to go toStarbuckswhenever they can in the morning but my mama? She's a tea lover. One of the reasons why, caffeine is bad for you. Think of the bad effects you'll get from drinking coffee every day just to feel awake or fresh—some even say they just want to follow the trend, make it a habit of drinking coffees. Well, I am more excited to disagree. I've always
Werewolves. Vampires. Sirens. Whenever it comes to these mythological creatures, they appear to be a harm towards humankind. Werewolves are known to change during a full moon while vampires seduce before they kill and sirens can make you lose your mind. They are portrait differently throughout the centuries, some would say they are hideous while some would say they are beautiful. Mesmerising creatures. However, is it true that they are a harm to humans? As far as the history stated, humans have always been their own cause of destruction. Wars. Killing their own species for their benefits. Killing the earth as they try to conquer and be more powerful. There is only one thing that they are after.Money. Humans kill. Humans destroy. For a piece of paper.&nbs
A tall man slowly grabs onto the woman's hand, her fingers slowly leaving my skin. My eyes wander up to him as he smiles down at me, ''I'm sorry, my grandmother can be a little bit persuasive. I hope you don't mind,'' 'I hope you don't mind.' As a matter of fact, I do. I'm not very fond of letting strangers touch me but then again, manners are important from how I was raised so I keep that to myself despite wanting to just be honest. ''It's okay. It's fine,'''It's not okay. It's not fine.' I smile. ''I'm Tony.'' He hands out a hand, in which I shake in return. However, to my surprise, he leans down to kiss at the back of it before looking up into my eyes and smile. ''Alice,'' I reply. ''She didn't lie when she said you were beautiful,'' 'Oh, my. C
Alice I lift my hand up to wave as soon as I see my friend, Juliet walks into the café. She smiles, striding excitedly towards me before pulling me in for a hug. It's not like I haven't seen my best friend in ages but it's how we always greet each other. We've gotten used to it along the way. "I'm sorry for being late," Juliet says, putting down a few shopping bags beside her seat. "You're never known for being punctual," I respond, smirking as she nods her head; agreeing. "How was shopping? I'm pretty sure you're starving now." "You have no idea," Juliet and I have always been friends since high school. We met in class and somehow, we justclickedright away. Then, she introduced me to her group of friends because as a new st
Alice "Wow, you really thought this through." Teresa says as we both step out of the car, closing the door behind us. "I mean . . . look at this place, it's amazing. We get to have the whole cabin to ourselves?" Juliet turns around with a wide smile plastered on her face, linking her arm with Will. "So, I'm guessing you guys approve? It took me a couple of weeks to find us a perfect spot!" "Well, I love it." Teresa replies. My eyes wander to the cabin, feeling excited to get a step inside. This place is surrounded with trees as we'reliterallyfive kilometres away from town, it's secluded and we would be spending time without any interruptions. It seems like a perfect place for a getaway or even a honeymoon, a place to prioritise quality time.
Alice "I can't believe he did that," Teresa says as we walk down the aisle of the store, glancing towards every type of clothing. We stop near the hoodie section with Juliet nodding her head while taking a few from the racks and trying it on her body. "I really can't believe he did that!" "Well . . . you don't have to be so loud about it," Juliet frowns. "It was—" Teresa cuts me off, "—a lowfuckingblow!" "Yup. My thoughts exactly," I chuckle. She turns to look at us before throwing her hands up in the air in frustration, "Honestly Alice, why did you even date that guy? He's anasshole," It's clear how she seems to despise
Alice My body shakes in surprise as I open my eyes, immediately trying to break free. Both of my hands are being tied up being my back including my legs, making my body stuck onto the chair. I scream out, calling for help but all I hear is my voice echoing in the empty room, “Help me!” Someone harshly pulls off the black cover away from my head, a bright light blinding my eyes. “She’s fucking awake now,” A man says, pulling his body away from the wall. “Didn’t know she was so loud,” I furrow my brows in confusion, seeing a few men in the room. “She wasn’t supposed to be,” He replies. &nb

Alice “He’s a werewolf. A human that can change into a wolf,” I repeat, laying flat on the bed as I try to remember the way his body shifted. The way his bones cracked and his body filled with brown-coated fur, the only thing that remained the same were his eyes. They were as brown as ever with a slight tint of yellow, the same tint I saw when we first met. It wasn’t my mind playing tricks. I was seeing things clearly despite of the drug. “Oh mygod, Alice. How is this even possible?” I mouth, closing my eyes as I try to remove the images of his body—the way he growled as he changed. No matter how hard I try to forget about what happened or convince myself it was not real, it will never change the fact that it happened. He is truly a werewolf.&n
