Chapter seventy eight

Irene hugged me tightly and made soft baby sounds. “I will miss you," she said softly, leaning on my chest. I cleared my throat and hugged her softly, I was already missing her even before she spoke the word.

I woke up the next day and I packed my bags and freshened up quietly trying not to wake Irene. I dressed up casually and sat next to Irene on bed. She was a beauty and I wished we were traveling together. I touched her hair gently and she subconsciously yawned and held my fingers on the bed. I tried to free them from her grip but it was much more difficult.

Irene opened her eyes and whispered my name. She got up and scanned me from head to toe before rubbing her eyes. “Where are you going?" She said sleepy. I smiled softly at her and took her hand. I wore her one of my favorite bracelets I got two years ago and kissed her hand. “I told you about my trip last night mama. I will be gone for four days and I want you to be the good girl you have been,ok?" .
