Lyron's POV
“ I'm about to come down with a headache because of you. What do you mean you've been avoiding him for over two weeks now?” Zara pinched her nose bridge. “ I can't bring myself to face him after that night,” I rested my head on the desk. “ He looks like he's about to kill me because it's kinda obvious that I'm avoiding him,” I pulled on my hair. “ I'd honestly feel the very same way of the guy I slept with suddenly starts ignoring me after that especially if we have to see each other on a daily basis,” she sipped from her drink. “ So what do you think I should do?” I needed her advice at the moment. “ It's obvious, hear what he has to say,” she shrugged. “ But what if it's not something I want to hear? You know how Amil is,” I sighed. I was worried about how he would react and if he'd find a way to blame me for what happened. That was my first time as well and I honestly enjoyed having sex with him but I can't guarantee he felt the same way. Just when I thought I could suppress my feelings until it dies out, this just had to happen. “ If you're worried that he'd blame you, then you shouldn't because if he really did blame you, he would have fired you rather than wanting to talk to you about it. I think you should know better in that regards,” she sighed. “ You do have a point,” I agreed with her on that. “ Honestly, I'm rather surprised that he wants to talk to you rather than fire you,” she voiced out her concerns. “ Why's that?” “ Amil Cougar is his stage name, his real name is Amil Ranen Romanov…” “ I already know that,” I interrupted. “ I wasn't done talking,” she frowned. “ Sorry,” “ Anyway, the Romanov family as you know is the wealthiest family but that's not the problem. They are a family of dominant traits meaning, ninety-five percent of all their family members are dominant alphas or omegas, they have one of the purest genes due to this but do you know how they achieved this?” She looked at me seriously. “ I don't,” “ By properly breeding, if I can put it like that. To ensure that their generations keep having dominant alphas and omegas, every family member has to marry another dominant alpha or omega with purer genes than most people. By doing this, the possibility of having a recessive omega or alpha or even a beta is low,” she explained. “ So every family member is married to either a dominant Omega or a dominant Alpha? That's pretty intense,” I hadn't known about this, maybe it was information only known among the wealthy. “ So what would happen if a child turns out to be a recessive or a beta?” I was curious. “ The Romanov family neglects the child,” her eyes showed disgust for the family. “ The child isn't abandoned since it's of the Romanov blood but the child would not be recognized as a Romanov, hence it receives no more benefits than being born into a rich family,” she relaxed her back into the chair she was seated on. “ It prolly won't be allowed to answer the family name so it may take on the other parents surname that was married into the family,” she shrugged. “ Isn't that a little too harsh? I mean, the child is still a Romanov, technically,” I felt bad for the relatives that had to go through this. “ But why are you telling me all this?” Now that I think about it, why was she really telling me all this? “ Because the earlier you kill your feelings for Amil, the better. Even on the slim chance that Amil likes you back, your relationship would never work out in the end and you'd be left broken,” she poked my head. “ Not to mention that it's against their family tradition for men to be in a relationship even if they are Alpha and Omega.” “ But why? Isn't it the same as marrying a female?” I don't know why I felt infuriated. “ How should I know but they are strict about it, so if you know what's good for you kill whatever feelings you have for him,” she warned again. “ How do you even know so much about the family? I know you come from a wealthy family as well but aren't you a little too detailed to be an outsider?” I don't know why I snapped but I snapped. “ That's because I and Amil were arranged to get married some years back,” she sighed. “ You were what??” >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> “ Thank you for shopping with us. Have a lovely evening,” the cashier robotically said as I stepped out of the convenience store. “ I'm glad I got Ryan to pick up the twins,” I looked at my phone and sighed. It was already night. How much time had I spent lost in Zara's words? Even though The Romanov family liked Zara, she found the family too creepy to stay in. Not to mention that she had never liked Amil. “ Lucky meeting you here,” a familiar voice came from behind me, interrupting my thoughts. My eyes widened in shock. “ I've paid you for the previous month and even two months ahead,” I took a few steps back but ended up bumping into one of his underdogs. “ I heard you moved out,” he totally ignored me. “ I wonder what sorta job you're doing now to be paying so quickly and even moving out or did you find yourself a sugar daddy?” He moved closer. “ What matters is that I pay up, isn't it?” I looked away from him. “ Who do you think you are to get this cocky? You really don't know your place, do you?” He pushed me. “ Boys! Put him in his place so he'd know who calls the shots here,” he ordered and they began beating me up. “ You really attract trouble anywhere you go, don't you?” I heard a distinct voice coupled with a familiar body build I remember too clearly - Amil? His bodyguards handled the loan sharks as he walked up to where I sat on the ground. “ Sir…” “ Get in the car,” he looked more angry than pleased to see me. Well, that was because I kept ignoring him. •••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••• “ I'm going to get straight to the point,” he said tossing a contract in front of me the moment we got to his house ( he got one of his bodyguards to treat my wounds though before dismissing everyone else). “ What's this?” I asked as I took the contract in my hand and read. “ It's simple. We both know we enjoyed the sex we had two weeks ago and since I can't force you against your will to do it with me or even pay you for it knowing how you are, let's be friends with benefit,” he proposed. “ You have sex with me whenever I want and you get to use my position and status however you want. If you want money, I'd give you. If you want to live a luxury life, I'd give you. I think such a contract is to your liking,” he concluded. “ Do you really think I'd accept it? Do I look like a whore to you?” I clenched my fist. “ If you were, I would have simply offered you money per night,” he responded nonchalantly. “ Rub yourself off to me if you want but I'm not signing this,” I got up in anger but he was quick to stop me from leaving. “ Are you sure you want to do that after what you made me do to those loan sharks today? If you sign it, you'd technically have everything provided for by me. I'd pay off your loan, give your siblings a better life. Aren't you happy seeing your siblings excited about the new apartment I got you? Wouldn't you want to give them more?” He looked into my eyes with his piercing eyes. He was aware that I would do anything for my siblings to see them happy. “ Why are you being so persistent? Can't you just get another male omega?” I had no reason to cry but I ended up crying regardless. Maybe it's because I deep down wanted to accept it because I liked that he acknowledged me even if it was just as an FWB but I also didn't want to break my resolve to end my feelings for him. He was pushing me to a corner. “ You're the only male omega I've slept with,” he answered and my heart skipped a beat. “ I-I…” “ You know what? Just take the contract home and think about what I said,” he suddenly walked away from me. He seemed to be in pain as he held on to the dining table for support. “ A-Are you alright?” I stuttered. “ Just leave,” he turned back to look at me. His eyes were glowing a bright green and his pheromones were all over the place. I took deep breaths through my mouth as my body got warmer, my whole body became more sensitive than this morning. Was I in heat? My mind went back to this morning, I had ignored the signs even though everybody kept complimenting my scent and given how I was unusually sensitive and horny today. I should have known better. Wait, does that mean he's in his… “ L-Let’s do it,” I walked up to him and tugged on his sleeves. “ Are you sure you want to do that with a dominant Alpha who is in rut?” He questioned. His words made little to no meaning at this point, I got on my toes and pulled him into a kiss. I kissed him desperately like someone who was thirsty and he wrapped his arms around me, kissing me back. The next few hours had me moaning and begging him to fuck me harder. I just wanted him inside of me, to fill me up. I let out a breathy moan as Amil’s tongue fondled with my nipples. “ You're very sensitive here,” he said as he thrust deeper into me. I dug my nails into his back and wrapped my legs around his hip as he moved inside me. “ I want you to call my name,” his deep breathy voice was enough to turn anyone on. “ Haa…A-Amil,” I moaned and I felt his cock get bigger inside me. Was he knotting in me?Lyron's POV “ I didn't think this would happen,” I cried. “ I told you before to kill whatever feelings you had for him and you went ahead to develop it,” Zara was annoyed I knew. “ So what are you going to do? You can just abort it you know,” she reminded. Three months had passed since I and Amil had sex when our rut and heat clashed. I had signed the contract after the three days of non-stop sex and Amil had become a lot nicer to me. He was more considerate of my feelings and opinions and would even let me throw tantrums - it was as though we were dating but I only came to realize that I was the one deluding myself after his engagement to Skylar, a top model and the only daughter of a well known investor was announced. Even after his engagement was announced, we still kept having sex and he would always say the sweetest things to me afterwards while I was completely shattered inside. Still, I was happy to see that he wasn't interested in his fiancee and kept
Amil's POVTwo weeks later I threw a vase to the ground towards my new agent. She shuddered in fear. “ This won't do, you know. I'm the one who broke the news to you so why are you taking it out on the new girl?” Steve sighed. “ I'm the one to decide who I take out my anger on,” I retorted. “ And this is the reason nobody wants to work for you,” he sighed before taking a seat. “ You may go, Emma,” he dismissed her. Looking at me with a trembling body, she bowed her head before excusing herself. “ Well, I never asked them to work for me either,” I snapped. “ Then why are you so bothered by the fact that Lyron left? Shouldn't you be relieved that he quit? I thought that was your original plan, what made it change?” Though his face showed no sign of slight, I knew how he truly felt. “ That doesn't matter. I told you to look for him and you come back telling me that you haven't been able to find him,” “ Do I look like
LYRON The plane touched down at Heathrow airport. The seven hours spent felt like eternity and to be honest I felt a little tired already. “ Are you feeling alright, Lyron?” Zara walked up to me. “ Not entirely but it's not that bad,” I admitted. “ It's your first time flying so that much is expected,” she tapped my shoulder. “ If you feel sick or strange, do let me know. We can't stress you or the baby,” she smiled. “ Thank you,” I smiled barely. Zara was extremely considerate and caring and I couldn't have asked for a better friend but I was still hung up on what I and Amil shared. To be frank, I still had feelings for him and if he were to reach out to me now, I'm not sure if I'd be able to not walk away. “ Onii-chan!” Leilani screamed as she ran away from Ryan who was goofing around and bugging both she and Lance. “ Ryan keeps tickling me,” she hugged my legs and reported to me. “ Ryan, aren't you a little too old for thi
LYRON Zara paused in her footsteps and everyone turned to look at her. I glanced at her then at Jason. Were they somehow acquainted? “ Do you two know each other?” I was forced to act seeing how much Zara avoided looking Jason in the eye. “ Yes… No!” They chorused. Their responses different. “ Do you or do you not know each other?” I raised my brow, staring at her suspiciously. “ I don't know him personally but we've met due to my line of work before. Isn't that right, Jason?” She finally looked at him. “ … I guess so,” he hesitated before answering. “ See? It's nothing serious,” Zara laughed awkwardly. I knew something was up but I'd trust her to handle her own affairs and if she ever feels the need to tell me the truth about their relationship, I know she would. “ I'll show you up to your room,” the butler brought us back to our reality - moving in. “ Alright, thank you,” I appreciated. “ I'll help you unpack,” Zara s
LYRONSix years later The plane touched down at JFK International Airport. It was bustling and rowdy as always. It's been six years since I last stepped into the US, yet it felt both familiar and foreign. My mind went to Amil, he most likely hadn't moved so it wasn't entirely impossible to not bump into him so I'd do everything to prevent that from happening. “ Daddy?” Eleo tugged at my pants. “ Yes, Lee?” I snapped back into reality hearing my son calling out to me. He was the cutest five-year old. “ Is it necessary to keep this on?” He pulled at his face mask looking sulky. “ Just bear with daddy a little bit okay? You won't need to wear it when we get into the car,” I kneaded his soft cheeks. “ But it's uncomfortable,” he complained. “ I know but you don't like when those people with cameras show up, do you?” I tried my best to convince him. I was yet to reveal Eleo to the public and I doubt I planned to do that anytime soo
LYRON I got ready for the signing of my endorsement contract. After getting dressed, I headed downstairs. “ You were quick,” Ryan who seemed to have been waiting for me said. “ I can't leave a wrong impression, can I?” I asked rhetorically. “ I guess, you can't. Where's Eleo?” He searched for Eleo with his eyes. “ He's still asleep,” I answered. “ He's like an angel when he sleeps. He's an angel as well when he's awake but you get,” I doted. “ You're such a mom,” Ryan heaved. “ Well, that's not a lie,” I mean, I did give birth to him. “ Has the nanny come?” I asked Ryan. “ How would I know? I don't live with you,” he slumped into a more comfortable position on the chair. I went to the kitchen to see if the nanny had come but she hadn't. “ That's odd,” I muttered. She wasn't the type to run late. “ Lyron!” Ryan called out to me from the living room. I briskly walked over to see why he was calling me. “ The nanny is here,” he said once I was in the living room
Putting on my shades, my bodyguards opened the door of the van for me. “ I hope I don't have to deal with reporters today,” I groaned as I stepped out. “ I made sure no one knows about it but I'd be lying to say i can prevent reporters from finding out,” Ryan said as I stood side by side with him. My bodyguards shielded us from the reporters as we walked into the company building. Getting into the company, I was welcomed by a lady who introduced secretary of the vice chairman. She took us to the VIP elevator and we headed straight for the conference room where we'd be using for the endorsement deal. I was somewhat nervous because this contract signing would solidify my position as a global sensation. I was famous in Europe but not as much in North America so this was an important deal for me. “ He's here, sir,” the secretary announced as we walked into the conference room. “ It's an honor to meet you personally, Vice president,” I bowed my h
AMIL The driver back to the penthouse was quiet. Joe, my personal assistant had noticed the shift in my mood the moment he caught up to me by the elevator. I never thought I'd meet Lyron again, especially like this. The encounter with Lyron had stirred up emotions I thought I had buried deep within. How long has it been since I last saw him? “ Sir, are you alright?” Joe asked. “ You've been acting strange since I met you at the elevator.” “ It's nothing,” I said, rubbing my forehead. Even though I wanted to talk to Lyron so bad during the six years we were apart, I couldn't bring myself to search for him intensively, not after everything I had done to him. Not to mention that if I had searched for him openly, grandad would have found out. “ Actually, it's about the artist that came to sign the contract,” I chose to tell him. Joe wasn't my assistant back then so he has no knowledge of who I associated with in the past. “ Do you not like him?” He looked conce
End Note I had assumed I'd write five to ten extra chapters or maybe more but at the last minute, I decided that I shouldn't put angst in the side stories, only fluff. So here's everything that I had intended to write in the side stories but didn't;Lyron asks Amil to mark him which he does. Lyron and Amil have their heat and rut at the same time some months after their wedding and Amil knots him which leads to him getting pregnant.Zara throws a fit when she hears that Lyron is pregnant despite the fact that he's happy about his pregnancy. In truth, getting pregnant is risky for Lyron because of the risk associated with recessive omega births. The issue stems from the fact that a recessive omega can't carry a dominant alpha’s child especially if the child is a dominant alpha/omega.Zara suggests that Lyron gets rid of the baby because his chances of survival were low ( he had also nearly died giving birth to Eleo ) and Amil agrees with it but Lyron refuses and this ca
LYRON Mom stared at me with a blank and dumbfounded expression as we made our way into the hall. She regained her composure as we walked down the aisle. Our silence was comfortable, one that I didn't think I'd share with her. As we approached where Amil stood, I could tell how nervous my mom was. “ You know, you can say what's on your mind,” I said while maintaining the same expression. “ It's just that… seeing you all grown up and even getting married feels like a dream,” she said, her voice shaky. “ I know you wouldn't want to have anything to do with me but I'm happy that you still gave me the chance to walk you down the aisle. This is a moment I won't ever forget,” she smiled at me with tears in her eyes. As much as I've been in denial about how I truly felt about Abigail, one thing was certain, I didn't hate her. Actually, I wished for this moment as a child to have her walk me down the aisle and maybe… just maybe all I've ever wanted was to
LYRONFebruary of the new year I sat down in front of a mirror as the make-up artists touched down on my makeup. “ Isn't this a bit too much?” I would prefer to go out this door without any makeup. “ Yeah, I wish you had said that about the wedding,” Zara pulled on her hair. “ Babe, please don't ruin your hair,” Jason pleaded with her. “ Are you still mad about the wedding date?” She sure could hold a grudge. “ Who wouldn't? Why did your wedding have to happen so quickly? Do you know how important today is supposed to be?” She paced back and forth. She was more nervous than I. “ I don't there's a problem with the wedding date. Besides, it's actually romantic that they fixed the date on Valentine's Day,” Jason shrugged. “ And what would you know about romance?” Zara folded her arms. “ Sometimes, I wonder what you want. Do you prefer me romantic or not? You really have to pick one,” Jason wa
LYRON My eyes widened in surprise. What did he mean by that? His sisters and parents looked just as surprised. “ What do you think you're doing, Amil?” His mother looked at him terrified. “ So now you decide to talk,” he scoffed. “ If you had stood against grandad back then, our family would have been perfect but you couldn't care less what could have happened to me as long as you were secured!” “ A-Amil…” his mom's eyes were teary. “ Just forget about it. I didn't come here to talk about our messed up family,” Amil tried to regain his cool. “ If you won't accept how I feel about Lyron, then it would be in your best interest to find another heir because the moment I'm walking out this door, I'm not longer a Romanov,” Amil wasn't making empty threats. “ Amil,” I whispered. “ Lyron, let's go,” he got to his feet and grabbed me by the hand.“ Amelia, please tell your PA to bring Eleo because we're leaving,” he was really an
LYRON The blonde lady turned out to be Lyron's oldest sister. She finally let go of him and Lyron's other sister came over to meet him. She was the calm one, who seemed to have her feelings put together. “ It's good that you're here. Though, I would have prepared an actual brunch than a judgment table,” she heaved after hugging Amil briefly. “ Amelia, ” their mom called out her name in a reprimanding tone.“ You're going to scare Lyron,” she added. “ But I'm not lying,” she shrugged as she walked back to her seat, followed by Alisa. I, Amil, Eleo and Jason took our seat. “ I did not expect to see the son of McClain family here. What a surprise,” Mr. Charles expressed his surprise. How did he know Jason? “ I'm surprised you know me, sir,” Jason maintained a professional tone. “ Wouldn't it be more surprising if I didn't know members of your family? I've been in this industry for years now, it's only right that I know
LYRON We pulled into one of the largest private estates I've seen… and I've only seen two. I was well aware that Amil came from the wealthiest and most influential family but seeing this display was a reminder of his status. I often forget since he's in the entertainment industry rather than being the pampered heir of the Romanov estate. “ Are you nervous?” Amil asked as he squeezed my hand. “ I wish I could tell you I wasn't,” I kept my eyes on my feet. It wasn't exactly that I lacked self-esteem but that I was becoming awfully aware that I wasn't in Amil's league. “ It's going to be fine so don't worry about how the meet up is going to go. After all, the result would be the same,” he smiled at me. “ I'll try not to think about it too much,” I really needed his reassuring smile. The driver got our door for us and we got down from the car. Eleo who rode in the same car as Jason ran to us. My eyes fell on a stern, middle-aged man who d
LYRON Christmas was soon approaching and as much as I anticipated spending Christmas for the first time with Amil as his partner, I was nervous since we were going to meet his family on Christmas Eve.I forgot to mention that it was Christmas Eve so my nervousness was more than justified. “ You look like you could die at any moment,” Zara sighed as she sat on the bed, watching the maids help me with my outfit for the day. “ You shouldn't be saying such scary things to someone who's already anxious,” I wished she'd stop teasing me. “ That's all the more reason I should tell you how you look because you're too stiff. How are you going to be when you get to his home if you're already this tense?” She got to her feet and walked towards me. She adjusted my tie. “ I knew I should have insisted more or better still forced myself against your will to accompany you both,” she frowned, worried about me. “ I just wanted I and Amil to handle things by o
LYRON “ The question is actually what am I not doing here?” She snapped her fingers confidently. “ I don't think it's weird for me to be in my boyfriend's home,” she beamed. I just knew how much she has been dying to use that. “ That's not even what I meant,” I sighed. I just didn't think he'd come with her or maybe it was more that I had wished he hadn't since I wanted to discuss with him privately. “ Anyway, why are you here late? Did something happen?” She was always so quick to know when something was wrong with me.“ Don't tell me….gasps… did Amil do something?” She hastily assumed. “ I can't believe that's where your mind went first,” I heaved.“ You know he's not like that anymore.” “ Better safe than sorry, you know. You can never be too sure,” she averted her eyes as she said the last part. I knew she meant no harm because it was typical of her to tease and make fun of others but I wasn't exactly in the mood tonight. “ Zar
LYRON “ Are you guys really going to do that? Not to be presumptuous but aren't you worried that his family won't accept you?” Ryan got comfortable in his seat as he sipped from his cup. “ To be honest, I know they won't accept me,” I rested my chin on my hand. “ Are you being for real right now?” Ryan looked more speechless than bothered now. “ It's not like I can lie to myself. Most wealthy families prefer inter-dorminant marriage or whatnot,” I shrugged. “ So what are you going to do if they don't want you with their son? Amil is the heir to the family's wealth so I'm nearly a hundred percent sure that his marriage partner is of relevance to them,” Ryan said. “ If I can't change their mind that I'm the one for their son, then we could just marry anyway without their blessings. Does that count as eloping?” I took my eyes off my drink to ask. “ I don't know how you can be chill about this, not to mention that it's unlike
