Chapter 2

Author's POV

"Mom" Little Ana whispered standing at the door of her parents' room

Maria looked at her with anger.

"What? What do you want after destroying my life? Do you want to kill me now?" Came a frustrated and angry voice

"Mom, look I brought this flower for you," Ana said and forward her small left hand because she got hurt in her right hand while plucking the red rose for her mom

The woman gritted her teeth and snatched the flower from her hand and throw it breaking the small heart.

The beautiful smile on Ana's face faded away.

"Get the hell out from here. Don't you dare you come in front of me or I will kill you? Go" The woman shouted.

Ana's eyes filled up with tears. She ran away from there with both fear and pain

"Dad" Ana whispered with fear

Matthew put down the newspaper and looked at his daughter

"What?" Came out an arrogant voice

"Teacher, tell me to take you to school. The teacher wants to talk with you" Ana whispered again.

"What the hell you have done this time?" Matthew shouted at her and hit the dining table in anger.

Ana jumped in fear and got panic attacks

Maria was sitting beside her. Eating her breakfast calmly not caring about her daughter having panic attacks.

Ana's nanny ran towards Ana and started whispering sweet things to her.

Matthew looked at Maria and started shouting, "It is all your fault. You did not teach her any manner. You turn her a spoiled bitch like you"

"Don't you dare you to shout at me? She is not my daughter only but yours too. If you have time to teach those things then teach her. I have no time to waste" Maria shouted back

"Yeah. How did you get time after spending all day with your boss?" Matthew shouted

"Don't think I don't know what you do behind my back" Maria shouted back.

Ana shook in fear while having breathing problem.

Stella Ana's nanny picked up her and left from there immediately.

"You will go and see what your daughter has done. I have an important meeting to attend" Matthew said in anger

"I know what meeting you are talking about. I know you are going on a vacation with your PA" Maria said

"You know hell with you and with your daughter. I don't time for this" Matthew said and left for the office

"As if I have time," Maria said and left for her office

Both of them left from home without caring the small child. They did not even bother to check on her.

When Stella saw the cars passing the gate she sighed and hugged Ana

"So, you both want divorce?" The judge asked Matthew and Maria

"Yes. I want to divorce her" Matthew

"Hey, hello. It's me. I want to divorce you" Maria said

"Yeah, sure. After all, your boss proposed to you" Matthew mocked her

"And your assistant agreed to marry you" Maria replied back

Before Matthew said something, Judge spoke up, "Silence. I see you both want this divorce. But as per rules, I need to ask some questions"

Matthew and Maria nodded.

"What are your name and the name of your spouse?” The judge asked them

"My name is Matthew William," Matthew said

"My name is Maria Willam," Maria said

“How long have you resided at your current address?” The Judge asked

"For last five years," Matthew said

“How long have you and your spouse been married?” The Judge asked

"I have wasted my six years with him" Maria spoke up

"As if I enjoyed staying with you," Matthew said

The Judge got annoyed hearing this.

“Where and when did you and your spouse marry?” The Judge asked and saw Matthew and Maria both started looking at their files to find out the date.

The Judge shook her head seeing this.

"Why are you and your spouse divorcing?" The judge asked them

"Because he has affair with his assistant" Maria replied

"Did you forget you mention about yourself? Don't worry I will tell you this. She also has an affair with her boss" Matthew said and Maria rolled off her eyes.

Do you and your spouse have any biological or adopted children?” The Judge asked them

And then Matthew and Maria looked at the little life who was sitting on a bench with Stella. She was looking at them with her big innocent doe eyes.

The judge followed their graze and found a small girl there sitting with a woman. The judge immediately felt bad for the innocent kid.

"We have a daughter, Ana William" Matthew

"How old is it?" The judge asked them

Matthew looked at Maria hearing this.

"You don't even know your daughter's age?" The judge said and looked at Maria

"She is around 4," Maria said and the judge becomes mute

"She is four years eight months" Stella spoke up and the Judge nodded

"Have you submitted a complete and accurate financial disclosure statement?” The judge asked Maria

"I want nothing from this man. My fiance had everything" Maria said

"Alright, just one thing yet to settle. As your daughter is underage one of you needs to keep her with you. Tell me who wants her custody?" The Judge asked

"He can keep his daughter with him" Maria replied immediately

"Ex-cause me, are you out of your mind? I will never look after this shit. Your daughter. You can do anything with her. I have no say anything about it" Matthew said

"Me and my fiance going to start a new family. We don't want anything or anyone from the past. So, I can't keep her with me" Maria said

"So? Do you think I will weep after you? I will also start a new life and I don't want anything or anyone related to you in my new life" Matthew said

"Enough" The Judge shouted in anger. She had enough. Yeah, she had seen like types of couples in her life and every one of them cared for their babies.

"It is not your bedroom where you can do anything. One of you must need to keep her or forget this divorce. I am going to tell who will keep her" The judge said and looked at Ana

"Baby, do you want to stay with your mommy or with your daddy?" The Judge asked her

Ana looked at her parents and saw them looking at her with anger like they are threatening her with eyes.

Ana hugged Stella in fear

The judge saw this and spoke up, "If you both try to scare her again instead of divorce thing I will put a child abuse case on you both. Smile at your daughter" The judge warned them.

Hearing this Matthew and Maria both fisted their hands in anger and forcefully smiled

"Tell us baby," The judge asked again.

Ana looked at her parents then looked at the cut on her small hand which was mother gave her last night when she wished to sleep with her.

Ana looked at the judge and then hugged Stella again.

The Judge understood how they behaved with her daughter and that she was choosing her nanny over her parents.

"If your daughter stays with her nanny, do you have any problem?" The Judge asked them

"No. Not at all. In fact, it will be best. I will send money for her every month" Maria and Matthew both spoke up together.

The judge smiled sadly.

"Miss. Stella, do you have any problem?" She asked

"No. I can do this with pleasure. I promise you I will take care of her like my daughter" Stella said

The Judge nodded and then completed the process of the divorce. As soon as it has done Matthew and Maria left from there not even bothering to say goodbye to their daughter.

"Today, I did something out of the law. One of the supposed to keep her but I know this kid will only suffer with them. Also, I have noticed love in your eyes for her. I I am sorry for doing this" The judge said to Stella

"I am happy that you did not give her to them. They always treated her like trash. They hated her beyond limits. I know I can't give her the luxury she might get with them but I will give her the thing she needs the most. Love and care" Stella said and picked up Ana.

The judge smiled and Stella left from there.

The judge sighed and looked at the kid who had just been abandoned by her own parents and prayed for a better life.

Then she took out her phone and looked at her beloved son's picture.

"Mommy loves you more than her life my boy. Mommy loves her baby Christian Knight more than her life" The judge whispered and kissed the picture with love.

Ana woke up after seeing the dream and wiped the sweat from her forehead then gets down from the bed and sat down near the window and looked at the sky

A tear rolled down from her eyes.
