Chapter 1

Author's POV 

When the lift opened, Ethan get inside. His assistant followed him. 

"Did, Christian give you any information about this project?" Ethan asked his Assistant 

"No sir," His assistant said and Ethan looked at him

"Didn't I tell you to collect the basic information about this project?" Ethan asked him

"Sir, I tell the young master that you asked for the basic information but still he denied to tell me" His assistant 

"What did you say?" Ethan asked him

"Nothing sir" His assistant replied immediately. 

Ethan gives him a death glare. 

"I know my son very well, Mark, so tell me what did he say," Ethan said 

"The young master said he did not believe you enough to share the information with you because last time you shared the information with your friend who used the information in his project. The young master said your old brain has lost the ability to keep something in secret" Mark said with fear

Ethan rolled off his eyes hearing this. 

"Where is the fool? Is he here already?" Ethan asked him

"I called young master's assistant but he didn't receive the call," Mark said 

Ethan nodded when the lift opened. 

Ethan and Mark came out and started walking towards the conference room. 

"Good morning, sir" The guard opened the door

Ethan nodded and entered the conference room. Everyone looked at Ethan and then sighed in relief. 

Ethan took his seat while Mark stood behind him. 

Ethan looked at everyone's smiling faces then roamed his eyes around the room to find his son when he understood why everyone was smiling. 

They were smiling because Christian did not come with his dad. 

"Sir, should I call young master?" Mark whispered near Ethan's ear. 

"No. I know he will come" Ethan said 

"Sir, just ten minutes left in the meeting," Mark said 

"He will be here. Don't worry. Work comes first for him" Ethan said. 

"Is your son sick? It is sad" One of the businessmen said 

"He is not sick. He will come" Ethan said 

"I heard your son is so responsible. But now I think I heard wrong. If he was really responsible he should have here right now" Another one said  

When a guard entered the room. 

"Gentlemen kindly switched off your cell phones. Mr. Alexander is coming in two minutes" The guard said and left the room. 

"Sir" Mark called Ethan 

"Switched off your cell phone," Ethan said 

The biggest rival of Knight, James smiled in victory

"Mr. Knight you should skip this meeting. It will be very hard for your assistant to admit you to the hospital when you see me getting the deal also there is no hospital nearby" James said 

Ethan just smiled without answering him then silence fell over the room. 

The conference room was full of silence all though the room was full of people. 

Everyone was holding their breath. They were so nervous and why they won't when they have the arrogant businessman Christian Knight as their opponent although Christian was not there but still they was afraid because Christian has a bad habit to appear at the last moment out of blue 

Everyone was looking at their papers when the door opened and Alexander's assistant entered. 

"Good morning, everyone. It is great to see you all here. Mr. Alexander is coming" He said when everyone heard laughing sound from outside of the room. 

Soon they heard footsteps. 

Everyone looked at the door when Alexander entered. But he was not alone. 

Christian was with him. He was talking with Alexander like they were friends although Alexander was three decades older than him. 

"It was nice talking with you son," Alexander said 

"Likewise sir," Christian said and sat down beside his dad. 

"Start the meeting, gentlemen," Alexander said and James stood up to show his presentation...

When everyone finished giving their presentation when Christian stood up and fix his suit then went towards the screen. 

"Good morning gentlemen, we gathered here to discuss important things. We already knew Mr. Alexander wanted to launch the updated version of his product. And for this, he needs the perfect idea. We all have already shown our brilliant ideas. But I had noticed a similar mistake in your presentation specially in Mr. James Center's presentation" Christian said when James stood up

"What do you mean?" James asked more like shouted at him

"Silence. I don't think I need to teach you manners. And Mr. Knight what mistake you are talking about?" Alexander asked him

"Their method. I don't think your product will launch successfully if you follow their methods" Christian said 

"We used the best method. Big countries using this method and gaining a lot from it" James said 

"Mr. James Center don’t play the games that you don’t understand, even if you see lots of other people making money from them otherwise you will fall on the ground. We don't know about this method. No one used this method in our country. Yes, others continue are using it and earn a lot. And they succeed in it because the method suits in their culture and their environment. If we try to use the method it will be a waste of money and time" Christian said 

"So, you wanted to use old methods? You will feel embarrassed seeing the result" James said 

"Didn't you hear this famous line, "If you are not embarrassed by the first version of your product, then understood you have launched too late. And I did not make it the co-founder of LinkedIn Mr. Reid Hoffman, said it. And it is true" Christian said and James glared at him

"Mr. Alexander if we don't use the method we will lose a big opportunity. Trust me" James said looking at Alexander 

Before Alexander say something Christian spoke up," Business opportunities are like buses, there is always another one coming" 

"What do you suggest?" Alexander asked Christian 

"I just want to tell you we need to know a few things before starting a business. There are three simple things: know your product better than anyone, know your customer, and have a burning desire to succeed. I want to use this method to launch your product successfully" Christian said and played his presentation on the screen. 

Everyone looked at the screen. 

When the presentation was over, Ethan smiled proudly at his son

Alexander gave a satisfying smile. While James fisted his hand in anger. 

"Well done, son. You have worked hard. I am happy to announce that my company will sign the deal with Knight Group of Corporation" Alexander said.

"Thank you sir," Christian said and smiled a little. 

James stood up and left from there. 

Everyone started congratulating him. 

After signing the deal, Christian came out and saw James was standing there. 

Christian stood in front of him

"I will not let you win. End of the day the success will be mine" James said 

Christian smiled arrogantly and spoke up, "Some people dream of success, while other people get up every morning and make it happen. And I am among of the others. You challenged me that even if I used my brain to the last limit you will win the deal. Now did you see the results? I did not even use my brain but still, I manage to win. So, if you do not want to make yourself a fool in front of everyone don't poke me. Don't try to wake up the beast in me or you will burn" 

James fisted his hand in anger and left from there..

"I know he is our biggest rival but you need to show him respect" Ethan spoke up from behind 

"And what is respect dad?" Christian asked

"You didn't use your brain in the presentation," Ethan said 

Christian smiled and spoke up, "In the business world, there are two ways to gain success. One is to work better than everyone and the other one is just find the weak spot of your rivals. I just used the second one dad. This work isn't worthy to use my brain. See you at dinner" Christian said and left from there..

"Sir, I think we should arrange a party for the young master. You did a great job today" Mark said 

"He already got his prize by insulting James in front of everyone. I am afraid of his anger. It can destroy him" Ethan said looking at his son's back

"Sir, who will dare to poke young master? No one will do it" Mark said 

"We don't know what Almighty stored in our destiny," Ethan said and left from there...
