Derek's POV

I patiently await her in my office,with my eyes glued to the documents that my beta had brought. He was sitting across me, discussing some issues with me.

Although,I was nodding to his words but my concentration was far gone away from the surrounding we are. I only nod then hummed at frequent time to show em that I was with him.

At a point, I slammed my hands hard on the desk in front of me, shooting my eyes up. My wolf was not giving me an easy breath to draw in. He was feeling restless, and any time her name rang in my mind or her image flashes in my head, my mind tends to cut.

I leaned closer to the desk with my elbows propped on them, my hands gently cupped below my chin. My gaze piercing into an empty space right behind my Beta.

"Ariana…" my wolf whispered to my ears. My heart lingered, running a thousand of miles at the hearing of her name. I tried my possible best to stay cool, trying to pacify my wolf to keep shut.
